    As far as I'm aware it's up to the company whether they choose to grant you the leave or ask you to resign. They definitely do not have to. As mentioned I had to resign as they would not give me the leave (partly because they were restructuring so it was an easy way to cut employee numbers).

    Hi balloune, depending on ur visa/status u could qualify - unfortunately I'm not 100% across it but I found this for u on their website
