I always find it tempting to POAS at Perth airport and start googling images of embryos! My treat for getting in the door at home after the 24 hour journey is to POAS before I go to bed which is ridiculous because I'm only ever 8dpo. But it's my little itch that I enjoy scratching. Uhm, actually, are you on a SAA flight but connecting to a Virgin flight? xx
Yeah it's a sa flight changing to a virgin flight in Perth. I'm going to be ropable by the time I get there so if they try to make me pay for a flight or if they tell me I have to wait til the next day they will feel the wrath of a steroid induced, failed de ordeal, warrior woman/psychopath. I will be 10dpo/11dpo when I arrive in Perth and I just don't think I can bring myself to poas until I know the result will be certain. I have already cried too many tears. I suppose I'll try Sunday or Monday night.

Uhm, it sounds like your progesterone is working just fine @Caesardust! (I'm cowering under my doona ). I'm wondering whether SAA will coordinate with Virgin or whether when you arrive in Perth you'll need to arrange a later flight directly with Virgin yourselves. The only way to know if it's a 'failed de ordeal' is to POAS but only you can decide when you're ready for that. Good luck getting onto another flight, xx.

@Billie2 I tell you if I wasn't so god damn tired I'd be a bit Rousy too. We ended up having our initial flight delayed too by 2 hours so we spent 5 hrs at Cape Town airport waiting to board a flight that take 1.5 hrs. Now we wait another 3 hours for the next delayed flight then who knows how long in Perth. The joy!

Can I ask you how many days of cycling it took you to reach 6.5mm last time? Re my lining, he was threatening to move my transfer date today and I haven't even started my cycle! Uhm, I damn well hope not. My flexi flights, accom and childcare are already booked!!
Just an out there question. Have you considered PGS a few of your 18 embryos? Is it expensive with QFG. I'd consider it if it was 'only' $600-ish an embryo. If you were transferring 2 or 3 I wouldn't necessarily raise it but transferring one at a time I thought it might be worth mentioning. Like I said, just a thought.

Yes I have been thinking about it. Warren said initially not to bother as the quality was so high that it would be a waste if money. I think QFG caps at around 4000k I'm not sure though. I just can't get my head around doing 15 transfers either. I'm waiting to see how much super I can get back as I don't have 4000k. I only have enough for 1 more FET cycle at a push and that's not until I get my medicare rebate back from the last one.

I was 7.5mm on day 12 then about 7.8 on day 17 (my latest scan) but I used the FSH from day 6. I have about 4 left over follicle cysts on my RO from the FSH remaining this month from it so I can't use it again until they settle down or blow up. They should just settle down though.

I hope he doesn't move your flights. Did he say how far back he wants to move them?

You want a smidge of hope @gorgeousgeorge? My Mum fell pregnant naturally and gave birth at 45. Yep, rare case. But it's not out of the realms of possibility.

@Tahli, good luck at your scan today hon

    Morning everyone!

Just on the 'when to stop' conversation...I actually told my FS we were done with our own eggs. I got a call 2 days after my D&C and they asked me when I wanted to do my next cycle. 2 bl00dy days.

I told them very forcefully (as forcefully as my 'no back door action' decision)... "No! Nup! Not gonna happen! My eggs are frucked and it's a waste of my time and money. I won't do it!"

They tried to push me...."Well, what do you want to do? We can put you on our waiting list for donor embies. But they don't come up very often. And egg donors are even rarer..."

A month and a half later I was ringing them to say I'd found a donor and was changing clinics. Now THAT felt good!
