Yep, we pay for the scans @Charlie74. If you've reached your Safety Net Threshold then it's $170 upfront with Monash U/S for Women. You get back about $150 which is great.
does anyone know when Monash ivf usually have their cut off for end of year closure? (Approximately), like I'm assuming you'd have to have AF by a certain date in order for them to fit you in before xmas? Also, say you get AF over their break in early January , can you still start on meds or do you need to wait for them reopen before you even start? Hoping someone has experienced the xmas shut down and can give me some advice as I wanna book a holiday (and trying to work out whether I can fit in 2 more cycles or not before xmas)....thanks..xx
@Grace1 I was going to Monash Richmond and was looking at starting last December. They do close down over Christmas and I may have the dates slightly wrong, but I had to have started AF by 29 November in order to start a cycle. If it was after, I had to wait till the New Year and they re-opened about the 3rd January. I think Clayton also shut down but go a few days later than Richmond and opened day after New Years.
BlondeinBrisvegas I had the test this morning... I have been going crazy waiting, as after the first couple of days the excitement went and I just had this feeling of dread - waiting for the other shoe to drop. I didn't want to be in here moaning to you all... I am actually feeling bad, like I am an imposter in here. I came in a few months ago with my woe is me story, and then I'm all 'yay pregnant'. But I appreciate the support from you girls so much! I haven't got that understanding from anyone else. And I still can't quite settle that worried feeling, at least for a while... So hopefully I can still hang out with you guys? I don't want to upset anyone though...
@Caesardust I hope you got home safely without too much hassle! Perth airport is grim enough without being stuck in it for hours... And I have everything crossed for your results
pingc383 I have mild endo, which I didn't know about until the laparoscopy. But looking back I had symptoms, I just thought they were usual. I had long periods, very heavy flow. I had bad cramps on the heaviest two days, always had to take period pain pills.
@Summer I'm glad that you have a plan. I always feel much better when I have one... I just successfully accessed my super through supercare, hopefully it works for you.
@Charlie74 that's interesting about feeling the pains when younger. I used to miss school regularly due to period pain but never missed work. I thought either it'd gotten better or I'd gotten used to it. Or I used to be a big wussy... Glad to hear you are feeling okay
Oh, got my results finally! 18DPO HCG is 1232 and progesterone is 800... I am feeling a bit more confident now...
