@CAEsaedust I'm sorry you didn't get any frosties. As others have said, hopefully these 2 will both stick for you
Green lady might have mentioned it, she had good egg hauls so the chance of finding one that was normal was better than someone like me who had piddly numbers. A lot of our eggs at age 42 are chromosomally abnormal so the odds arent great. Having said that its your decision when you feel like you've pushed it hard enough you will know, trust me on that. I never thought I would give up but I got more and more comfortable with the thought of donor eggs so here I am about to embark on that journey. In all honesty Im not so sure the different protocols make too big a difference, when I look over my 11 cycles I had different numbers every time. I did do mostly antagonist cycles, 1 down reg and 1 Elonva and the numbers varied. BUT its not your initial egg numbers that count, its the number of good embryos you get from them. My egg numbers at best were 6 and 5 but mostly they were 3 and then 2 and 1. But I usually always got 1 blast from those, except twice I got 2 and had one to freeze.
Good luck with it, keep trying until you are satisfied that you've given it everything you can. It really is a personal thing and only you can decide when to stop.
Caesardust With my donor she had about 30+ follicles, big ones too. At EPU we got 5 eggs. Her previous and subsequent donations have been in double figures. She was in tears and I was comforting her and just feeling so desolate myself. It all turned out well in the end of course but there was a lot of anger at the universe that day as I thought that was the end of it. I think I started every post with 'Don't tell me it just takes one!"
It broke my heart to see my donor cry, it was such a tough day. Yes, we do have very high expectations for DE cycles....otherwise we wouldn't be doing them.
@Charlie74 good luck with your BT, crossing everything for you lovely @Caesardust I am so sorry you didn't get any frosties, I know that would have been so disappointing for you. Second the others in that you have the best two on board an one (or both) of them will be your take home baby/ies
@Maxwellsmum from what I've heard about assisted hatching, its not going to do any hard and is recommended as we age as the zona hardens and can make it harder fror the embryo to break through. Do they charge much extra for it?
@Tahli how many days early is your bleeding? Can they sort it out?
@Blossom74 can you believe its September!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Bib hope you enjoyed having your hair done. I'm going tomorrow for mine, thank god. When is your actual birthday? Also I hope the session went okay.....well, was an improvement on the last time anyway! Loved L's cake btw
