Does anyone know much about assited hatching? Is it better to get assisted hatching with embryos or not? I've been thinking about it lately. Another thing I'm thinking about is embryo glue I used it last year with my almost sticky one. It costs extra but it was the one thing different that I did that transfer. Any thoughts, opinions out there on either of these. Please share?
@Grace1 I am sorry to hear your FS is not hopeful. Mine was the same way. If you want to keep trying then keep trying. You never know what might happen. I wasn't ready to accept it at the time, but I did make a second opinion appointment. If they had told me the same thing I might have changed my mind, I don't know. I guess what I am trying to say is be guided by your FS, but the decision is yours, it is your life...
The one frozen emby my husband and I made was a AA Grade hatching blast. The FS said it was close to a miracle for us to do that at our age. Still resulted in a MC though, whereas there are plenty of babies running around that started out as C grade embies. TBH I don't place too much stock in gradings now. Sometimes the great embies suck. Sometimes the sucky embies are great. In light of our experience I just think it comes down to luck, or lack thereof. @Caesardust, I reckon your two best chances are already inside their Momma hon
With regards to not having frosties, i know its disappointing but it might not actually be a problem yet. Sorta like, you dont have to make plans or decisions about what to do about not having frosties yet, esp since dp's tesa is stored already. Having 2 good embys on board is a good thing. And maybe if youve never gotten to this stage before, this is kinda the best things have even been.
(I dont know if this is helping. I was just trying to think of different way of thinking about things but feel free to slap me if you want mate. I totally agree that it would have been nice to have a "wow" worthy cycles. But the back up frostie desire, is based on the assumption of the first cycle failing, which still might not happen. I so hope too that all will be well. xox
I know I haven't been fully engaged in this thread for a while, besides a few little posts here and there, but I always read along and I just want to acknowledge what an awesome group of women you all are here. So supportive, patient, tolerant, loving, and just all round great women. I feel like I know you all and am a part of your journey and ups and downs - you make me laugh with your funny comments and cry when things don't work out. I'm sorry I haven't been here to offer support lately, but I wish I could give everyone the most huge hugs IRL and remind everyone how very special you are and how strong and courageous you are to even be on this path.

Maxwellsmum I had assisted hatching for my last cycle. I don't know if that helped or not. My FS never offered it before. He said it can help the embies to break the shell if it's a bit tough.
@Caesardust I'm sure your disappointed but once you have your quadruplets you won't want any spares on ice!
I need the ****ting bricks emoji, prospective donors AMH should be in tomorrow
