My nurse said something about people getting false low positive BT from the pregnyl & if that happens then u test again on Monday... Anyone had that happen??

I still had residual Pregnyl in my system after Cycle 4's BFN which was 6 days after the last injection I think (will double check and get back to you on that) and the HCG level was 8 so at that level there's no way it's a false positive BFFP IMO.

@Blossom74 I still have hcg in my system from my miscarriage if you get desperate. Could probably pull a squinter with hcg of 8 this week.

@Charlie74 Right!! Have gone back and re-read my posts from the AACEP Protocol thread and I definitely had my BT 6 days after my last Pregnyl booster shot on Cycle 4 as I went in a day early for it as I knew it was going to be a BFN and I just wanted to get it over and done with.

The residual HCG that was left in my sytem was at a level of 8 as well I tested the Pregnyl out that Cycle and it was all but gone 5 days later. It would've definitely been a stark white BFN on the FRER by Day 6 but I went for my BT instead so didn't bother to POAS that morning.

I should get the cycle plan next thurs on the next call from the clinic. our donor is currently jabbing for another couple so I'm not sure yet if she'll do back to back cycles or have a break for a month.

That is the theory anyway. With past miscarriages that got to 6-10 weeks the attack was likely slower as I only had my own natural amounts, but over the past year with any hint of a line I use pessaries and that would be giving me a really big dose very quickly which could cause an immune flare. And would be one reason why I got so, so sick when taking all the meds if I was using both progesterone and pregnyl - it really tipped my immune system over and I got very hypothyroid among many other severe symptoms....

It is all supposition at this stage, but many of the symptoms do fit - the allergies, the dermatitis that flares cyclically, the massive oedema that I carry coming up to a period, the autoimmune issues I've had... I'll keep looking further but at least I've discovered that it is an actual medical condition and it's another avenue to explore. Even with a healthy DE, if I have something like this going on it still wouldn't work, so I do have to look into it further and sort it no matter whether I have another natural pregnancy or do DE. I'm just happy that I'm pursuing a line of enquiry that I haven't looked into before that might give some answers.
did you find any treatments for progesterone allergies in your reading so far? that's a worry if it's happening with your natural prog too. I hope you can find some clear answers from the doctor. good luck

So basically moral of the story is even if it does come back as any kind of positive, then the hcg is so low that they basically know that your not pregnant?

Fair enough. My BT is 6 days after my last booster so I guess we'll see what happens!
They can tell by how low the level is Luv as to whether it's a true BFFP or residual HCG but they'll still get you to repeat the BT anyway just to make sure the Pregnyl has gone out of your system (usually by the time you do that you'll have gotten AF by then which is what happened to me so I didn't bother).

They know what the levels should be at dpo for a true BFFP although there are the odd occasions where late implanters can happen or the dreaded chem's etc but even still, the levels to begin with will be above a certain number from the get go.
