@Charlie74 Re the tears, it sounds like your progesterone is working fine, that mixed with anxiety. Poor you. Fingers crossed for solid sleep on the weekend. Do you have the pathology slip? You just line up for when they first open!

    Hi hon,

I've not been told which of the two I will be using or what dosage the pessaries will be. I'm just thinking ahead of time about how much those darn pessaries costs when a box of Crinone is only $38, and wondering if there was a benefit either way. Currently I have a box and a bit of left-over Crinone on hand.

Thanks ladies. I just figured...why make it out to be a negative sounding place to go? It should feel like a good place to go when we need more support and some TLC...

Its possibly a personal thing as everyone reacts differently to them all but I know that the Endometrin pessaries are the only form of progesterone that stops AF for me. I have 2 boxes of crinone in my cupboard too and yep the pessaries are 60 a box I think so I may use the crinone at some point.

    Have you done both previously?

I did Crinone for one cycle but have never done the pessaries. The other concern I have regarding the pessaries is that they will be hard for me to get hold of. Pretty sure the local chemist out in the middle of whoop whoop doesn't stock them! I know Kee tends to prescribe them fairly often though....

@tuxcat I'm still here! Just Mia for a bit. But I made it back on time to be a cheerleader for you @Blossom74 and @Tahli and of course the other ladies I'll get to know who have joined since I was away!
@Charlie74 I hate the tww I have everything crossed for you.
@Blossom74 I am so friggin excited for you, I've missed your baking pics too!
@Tahli in deference to the lovely ladies who are having a tough time I won't go into it too much but dd has been unwell, dr's have been having a go at me, neighbours have been ****s and dh and I nearly split.

I was finding life incredibly hard with no family or close friends to talk to. I am in a better place now though. It just goes to show how valuable having a place to vent is, I was pretty low for a while.

In terms of the new thread, I actually found reading of other people who were struggling at the same time helped me. Too often we put on a brave face when inside we are hurting. Hearing that others were struggling too often helped me talk about how I was feeling.

In regards to crinone vs pessaries - crinone is usually 200mg progesterone whereas pessaries are usually 400mg and higher so you are getting a higher dose of progesterone.

And nice to see this thread is still as active as ever, you are all prolific posters!

@Charlie74 you just go to level 7 at Richmond between 7 and 10am. Just go to where you get the bloods done and give them your name. They start calling with the results after 12. I really hope you are a first transfer success.

Edited to say it takes about 5 hours (they courier the bloods to Clayton) so if you go at 10, you will be waiting till after 3.

Kingswood pharmacy in Sydney will compound them and post them out to you.

Cool, thanks for that @Chiefsgirl! So really, I should compare the cost of 2 boxes of crinone against a packet of pessaries, because I would be using double the amount of them to equal one high dose pessary. *Technically, I suppose I could get away with just using extra Crinone each day rather than having the pessaries made up and shipped? At the end of the day I will do whatever I am told, but I just wanted to ask the question

I'm sorry you've been having a rough trot hon. That is a whole lot to have to deal with all at once. I hope things look up for you soon
