    Default Help- hiding pregnancy

Do you think it's possible to hide your pregnancy from work until your 20 weeks? Any suggestions on how to do this? My contract ends in December and if I fall pregnant this month I will be 19 weeks- I just want my contract to be renewed and I'm afraid if they know- it won't be renewed.

It depends how big you get. Some people are barely showing at 20 weeks, and others look 6 months pregnant.

Personally, if it was me, I'd wait a couple of months longer before falling pregnant, so that it would be easier to hide until your contract is renewed.

Also, regardless of how big you get, if you end up with bad morning sickness, that too will make it harder to hide

In regards to hiding your pregnancy..impossible to say. Some people suffer from awful morning sickness, others don't. Some baby bumps becomes obvious earlier than others too. Me, i had shocking ms that lasted until 18 wks..and my bump was very obvious before 20 weeks. Best of luck

As others have said, it's very hard to tell how much you'd be showing. I'm short and skinny, my bump was obvious very early on. I'm 23 weeks now and at 19 weeks there was no hiding it. I've known people who have been quite tall or a bigger build and they would have been able to easily hide it at 20 weeks.

    Hard to say.
For me, my bump was noticeable well before 20 weeks, there was no way I could have hidden it. Even as a FTM.

I also had pretty bad morning sickness that started after 12 weeks and lasted for a few weeks, so finding an "excuse" for that would've been hard.

It really depends how your body responds to pregnancy.

Is there any reason they would have not to renew your contract? (Apart from pregnancy, which could be seen as discrimination/ indirect discrimination)

Depends. I could definitely hide mine up to 20 weeks, even at 30 weeks people weren't sure. I definitely had a nice bump at 25 weeks but it was easy to hide under winter clothing!

How tall are you and how big are you? I'm 175cm and overweight. I could have hidden it to 35 weeks. But there's jobs I can't do, so have to speak up early.

I'm 171cm around a size 12-14. There should not be a reason for my contract not to be renewed. But it would be easy for them to not renew it if they found out. But they could obviously use a different excuse rather than blaming pregnancy. I am waiting for my period to come so will find out soon if I am pregnant if not might wait a bit longer to try again.

There is no way I could've hidden my pregnancy. I was noticeably showing by 16 weeks.
