Default Side effects Prednisone + Clexane

Just wanting to know if anyone has had any side effects to Prednisone and Clexane??

Been prescribed both after yesterday's appt with Dr M where he told me I have MTHFR mutation and elevated NK cells. He didnt tell me which ones or what is considered normal. So anyone know an answer to that as well?? I have my results infront of me but dont understand any of it.

I have some preexisting conditions like anxiety and a pretty dangerous heart condition which makes my heart rhythm irregular and i read Prednisone can give you that. So im a bit worried my heart will go crazy.

Any stories, advice would be great.

    Thanks

@Evelynmoo I take both clexane and pred for my IVF cycles.

No real side effects from clexane other than bruising a little easier.

Pred is known to cause mood changes. I certainly get those when I first start taking it and when I wean down to stop. This lasts a week or 2. It can also impact sleep so take it early in the morning to help eliminate that. I have anxiety and depression and it does make that slightly worse.

I'm no real help with the NK cell stuff, hopefully someone else will pop along soon.

    Thanks for the reply.

I guess I'll warn my husband about the mood changes lol

Can I ask what dosage of Pred you are on?

Im hetero for the other one.
I apparently have NKC as well but from what I can tell (which isnt much) they arent that high. So he hasnt mentioned intralipids at all

How long did it take you to get an appointment with Dr M? And how long before you got your blood test results?
I think i waited 3 months for an appt. I cant remember coz i had to keep changing it and then had to wait 6 weeks to see him again to get results

    Hi there @Evelynmoo
I've got similar issues- dr M has prescribed:
    - co-q10
    - vitamin e
    - active folate
    - baby aspirin
I'm also on fish oil tablets, vitamin d, vitamin c, magnesium, metformin 1500mg. And have just started chlomid.
After ovulation, dr M tells me to have pred (5mg although he said my NK count is mid-range at 35% so not sure why dosage is so low, but I did reconfirm with him that's the right amount). Post ovulation, if I get a BFP then I am to go on progesterone and clexaine. I haven't achieved this yet.
My side effects at the moment though- even on the 5mg pred I get shortness of breath which scares me. I also find that I am bruising a bit and I suspect this is from the aspirin and fish oil tablets. Also kind of concerning because Dr M has prescribed 60mg of clexane if I achieve a pregnancy and so I suspect bruising would be worse once I go on clex.

I'd be interested to hear from other ladies if they have had these side effects also and what was recommended. I think I might do a follow up appointment with Dr M to confirm the dosage amounts. DH and I have one dq alpha match, and I also have high ANAs, High TSH, reynauds disease, fibromyalgia, hetro factor V, hetro MTHFR. Dr M has indicated LIT, Intrpalids post positive pregnancy test but as I said so far this hasn't occurred.

Last positive pregnancy was 14wk miscarriage in Sept 15 and possible early loss May 16. I'll probably start the IVF route ina few months if not successful naturally.
