Default Hcg levels low at 5 1/2 weeks

    Hi
I had ivf 5 day DE embryo transfer on 26/7 its now 20/8.
9 days after transfer had a hcg test level was 5.
Have been testing regularly a week ago hcg was was 49 a week later 106.
I am going to have a scan on Monday.
I don't understand why its going up if I am about to have a m/c?

Unfortunately hcg levels can keep rising even if the pregnancy isn't viable, you may have a blighted ovum, which is generally indicates with low slow hcg rise, keep in mind you may not see anything at the scan if your hcg is still so low, sorry your going through this

A blighted ovum is when the embryo implants and a sac develops but a yolk sac/fetal pole/baby never does, sometimes fets are a little slower to get going but you would definitely like to see a better rise in your hcg than what you have been seeing

I had similar happen - mine started out low and raised slowly over a very long time.... Mine wasn't a blighted ovum as we had the fetal pole and a heart beat (too slow for gestation)

I miscarried at 10 weeks even though my bubba was barely the size of a seven week old.

I really hope yours are just slow to take off but it can happen that they rise just not fast enough....
