admittedly part of the issue is the dash in my car. the passenger side dash and glovebox area come down quite low. completely wasted space IMO as the cabin actually has quite limited storage space so god only knows why they've done it that way. I just know for long legged folk like myself, you need enough distance between the dash and the seat to sit comfortably.

we tried the safe n sound and we had to have the seat too far forward to be practical.

Agh it's so annoying hey! A the funny thing is I end up with more leg room in my tiny hatch than in my partners massive jeep. And when Bub gets taller and you adjust the headrest, the front seat has to go forward even more. Sigh. I'm about to have to buy a Compaq or similar (which will be the 4th car seat for my 14 month old) to avoid FF in the jeep 😪 so over $2000 in car seats in 14 months and I only have one child 🙄

Sorry OP - a bit off topic and I've used your thread to vent 😂

We have 2 x compaqs & 1 infasecure booster in our TriBeCa and they fit perfectly. It's tight but they're all installed correctly.

When the compaq is rear facing they actually have more room than when forward facing.

    It's worked well for us.

Hehe you sound like me we are on our third seat for one 13.5 month old baby!
Started with an infasecure kompressor caprice but she screamed her head off every time we went in the car so out of desperation bought the compaq when she was 3.5 months old - solved the problem instantly yay! But it was the old model so not extended RF and she's very tall so was almost to height markers and I want to keep her RF as long as I can so at 12 months we bought the millennia which is awesome. Wish I hadn't been such a tight a$$ and bought that at the beginning live and learn!

Hahaha yes it's crazy. The millennia is nice, we have a platinum pro which is very similar and by far the favourite of (all of) our seats. I researched seats and decided it was the best, tested to see if it would fit in the car but didn't think to try it out with the head part extended. Agh! Very soon it won't fit. 😡

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! As we are most concerned at the moment with the space, I think we will go with the Quattro! Thanks @rainbowroad !!
