I am really over it today
I have a massive work event, I didn't even want to go to but been told it will be frowned upon if we don't. My dress didn't arrive today that I ordered last Friday and wasted $15 express. so I'm trying to put something together I already got and I've not slept much because the dog next door has been barking all day.

Struggling to come up with a meal idea for DS who has become very fussy, and doesn't want to eat more than half of what he used to eat. I do, and always have done all the things you're "supposed to do" to encourage eating a variety of foods, but apparently this has not made one bit of difference. I'm tired of wasting food, or eating the same thing over and over again.

Last time I got 1-2 nosebleeds a week. And not little trickly nosebleeds - at least 20-40 minutes of gushing nosebleeds. They never found anything wrong. They ended up just telling me to pack my nose with tissues and change only when necessary (yup, that's an attractive look).

I am an idiot. Booked this morning for DH and I to go whale watching tomorrow and I told the lady no dietary issues. Lightbulb moment in the car driving to where we're staying... I won't be able to eat most of the food being pregnant! These guys normally do a nice spread of cold meats, fruit, salad etc. I prob won't be able to eat most of it. Argh!

over the mum mentality some women have.

posting pseudo-scientific crap on fb suggesting if your baby isn't sleeping through the night, it's because they're of super human intelligence.

no, your baby is just being a baby. or, if unlucky, they're just a crap sleeper.

it indirectly suggests those babies who do sleep well are destined to be licking windows on the special bus.

but you know, whatever helps you get through the day. f.wits

I'd almost believe it some days. DS2 slept through the earliest of all my kids and I think he really missed out on the common sense ration.

I've seen the article on my feed but haven't read it. Having had two awful sleepers, I think look at it from the perspective that when you are a new mom and horribly sleep deprived you are looking for any type of silver lining that things are ok and there's nothing wrong with you or your baby because more often then not people make you feel like you're doing something wrong.
