The same posting styles from the same members make my eyes twitch and I just avoid anything where they are posting in because it's always the same outcome.

I joined bubhub 8 years ago and it's changed a lot. Back then, it was pretty brutal. It got really good after a while, but now it's like banging my head against a brick wall. When I read the same style posts from the same members I just shake my head and move on, because years of lurking has shown me that nothing will change.

The reason I CBF is because my comments would be picked apart, I would be asked for more information, I would be told that perhaps I have some underlying issues at play and that an opinion couldn't be formed without knowing the rest of the information required. And repeat.

Anyway, I probably should have just posted why I dont post and what I am finding annoying.

The good thing though is that I can, and do, ignore threads that I find irritating.
I completely agree with the sentiments expressed in both of these posts. I just couldn't be bothered articulating it. Which is really part of the problem.

Because maybe I'm wrong but you're like the partners in the business. Yep we're all here too but if the owners stop showing up people will too.

Mods don't have to do everything it's more complicated I suspect.

Anyway isn't it good to know how people feel?

And why I think I'm done with this place. On one hand people say they enjoy my posts but so many more say they cbf posting because it's all too hard

I can argue with myself any day of the week

I'm over the over BH posts.
We can all take responsibility to make it the place we want it to be.
Don't like the arguments? Don't argue?
Sick of the same hubbers PoV? Don't engage with them! Don't poke the bear.
Want mods around? Speak to them directly. Start a "spotlight on a mod" thread or something that engages with them as humans so we don't just go to them with grievances and we acknowledge that each of them has a life outside BH like we all do
I personally find BH ebbs and flows for me. Now I'm TTC I actually find a lot of threads/posts heartbreaking or jealousy inducing, even though I'm so happy for those who have had good news.
It's MY responsibility to moderate myself and decide when it's time to take a break or read less or stay away from certain hubbers or threads.
Yeah I noticed the lack of awards this year. I noticed the mods hardly ever around. But did I tap any of them on the shoulder at the time and say "hey y'all sup with the awards?" (Totally how I would have approached it) no! I gossiped to my mates in pm about it instead. Clearly a helpful solution.
I can understand that for some BH offers something so much more than just an online forum. But for others, it serves a purpose at a point in time and that's ok too.
For a free forum, moderated predominantly by volunteers, I'm honestly not sure what we expect.
And for when it's hard to see the forest for the trees, there's always the option of taking a little break. It doesn't have to be a huge deal.

Fair points and it was never intended to be a foot stamping exercise. There's been no trigger.

But look it's flushed out some mods and some engagement.

Happy to move on. For me it was an exercise (and still is) in thinking about what I get from Bubhub and whether I still get that. And wondering why do so many lurk but not post.

As part of the "I am" thread this is. I am wondering if there is a section about school age children and how to navigate that minefield?
Alot of us are out of the baby stage and I am looking forward to the day I am out of the toddler stage, now I have a new hurdle of primary school and all those emotions!
Any one else in this area as well?
