I am sore. My poor back and neck are suffering after spending the morning doing fiddly birthday prep. I really should learn and do more basic parties instead of going all out to make up for the fact my childhood was pretty lacking in fun and birthday parties.

I am thinking DH is a legend. He often does night routine with both kids with no (well very little) fuss because I have some social activity on. He's got to work and I'm all anxious and over it.

    Default I am.....#18

I am feeling like a ****ty mum this evening. I am quite frustrated with my children not sleeping. Among my 4 kids, I have one with autism (4yo) one with diagnosed insomnia (3yo), one that just doesn't like sleeping (2yo) and one smarty pants 6yo. It often takes hours to get them all sleeping. (2 hours tonight so far, 2 kids down, 2 to go).

I roused on them this evening and my husband stepped in twice to tell them to go to sleep. I feel horrible that I feel frustrated with them. Usually I can go much longer and without my husband feeling the need to step in but my patience level was just at the bare minimum today.

Absolutely amazed, because for the first time in 22 months (minus 4 days), my DS slept through and didn't wake at 5/5:30!!!! Sleeping through is rare. And sleeping through past 5 or 5:30 has never happened.
I slept from 10:30 to 5:30 (force of habit), without waking up, not even to pee like I have been at least 3 times a night since I fell pregnant. It was.... oh, I'd forgotten what this felt like. 😊😊😊😊
