It is never ending! They are in leaps more than they are out of leaps!

I think your DS is 2 or 3 weeks older than my DD? If so he is in a leap.

Did you manage to clear your duct?
We are on the last day of a leap apparently. He was 6 months yesterday. No luck on the duct as yet, no worse as I am keeping it as empty as possible but I haven't had time to spend trying too hard to shift it. Will try tonight when both boys asleep... Assuming I get an hour or so before our first wake up

I actually stopped using my wonder weeks app. I found it too depressing knowing we had so much longer to go and several more to hit lol

Annoyed at MIL again. Went over for a visit and she told me she had bought some purée baby food. Yanno, the stuff suitable for 4 month olds. Even though I told her dd2 never allowed us to spoon feed her, we were doing blw and she is now 10 months old and wouldn't even need purées anymore! I then proceeded to make her a sandwich to MILs horror.
She then said well maybe I should persist more with the baby food as we didn't want another picky eater like dd1.
    FFS.
That woman gives me the irrits.

I'm in a tough spot at the moment DH always complains that all the parenting has to be done my way (he's right -my anxiety leads to control for me) so I'm trying so hard to let him set the rules and and set the direction for more parenting choices, but I'm having to bite my tongue enough as he thinks her behaviour is 100% defiance and being naughty, so he took it really hard so I was trying to be supportive.

I think his mum got through to him when he was being a grump yesterday and told him to smile as he had two amazing children, a beautiful wife, a nice house and it was Father's Day. He snapped out of it and they got on really well from then
Perhaps you could sit down together after the kids are in bed and discuss expectations of how to discipline and what for etc. It's good to get on the one page without anxiety and anger being the driving force behind the decisions made at the time. Parenting is hard! I'd probably feel the same when my oldest was 4, but I look at our 4 year neighbour now and wouldn't even give it a second thought if he behaved like that...because it' really obvious how young 4 is when you are at pre-teen/teen stage. I remember my oldest child having a 6th birthday party...there was so much excitement in the lead up, and then just tears and attitude during the party...in the end it was because the party hadn't gone exactly how my child had imagined it would go. So, even though the party was great, it just didn't match what my child had pictured it to be like...but from the outside it just looked like I was raising a spoiled brat who couldn't even be happy with a party. I took my child away from everyone, we had a talk, let them re-join the party when they were ready, and the rest of the party was great fun for everyone. Had I taken the 'you are so selfish' attitude towards it, the whole party would have been ruined.
Check out Dr. Louise Porter's 'parental guidance recommended.' Dr Louise Porter is amazing in my eyes!

I love Christmas so it's very hard to not get too excited, especially with 3 other little ones as well.
    That would be hard.

I am having some kind of allergic reaction. Face went all red and puffy and burny. Hoorah!! I settled it with some polaramine but I can't even think of what it could have been.

And here I was hoping to have a good night's sleep. I have a vivid enough imagination that this freaks me out without witnessing it. Now I have the heebie jeebies 😨
