A little stunned at THE WORST pregnancy advice I've ever received.

I was just saying to co worker that I'm feeling a bit woozy, short of breath and hot but said I'll be fine, I've got the fan under my desk and a big bottle of water to sip on while I try to let it settle.

    Her response?

Oohhhhh don't drink too much water.

    Huh???

Loved the Barry Hall/Fev non-interactions. I am really looking forward to the women's game tomorrow night too. I watch Marngrook every week (on NITV) and they have had some of the marquee women players on the show at various times during the season. Pretty much all of them talk aboit Daisy Pearce so I want to see how she plays!
Oh I know. DH and I were wondering last night if he's even had a bit of Botox. For a game that's supposed to be about having fun and raising money, he was taking it way too seriously. I love it when sports do these sorts of charity games. Love it at the tennis when they mic up the players etc.

We watched a women's game at the Gabba a few weeks back after one of the Lions games. It was great to watch, but they made us sit in certain sections only so everyone was grouped together and we lost interest pretty quickly as you couldn't see what was happening on the other side of the Gabba. Would've been better if we could watch from our own seats. I also think they would've pulled a better crowd if it was the curtain raiser game not the curtain closer.

Ha love it! I still play. Well, I did. But I ruptured my ACL last year when I was 5 weeks pregnant and am yet to have surgery.

Ouch! I stopped playing because I had a really bad ankle sprain that wrote me off for the remainder of that season. Also the club I played for were going about things the wrong way. They did a fundraiser with the Cadbury chocolates/Freddo's etc. I said I wouldn't take any to sell as mum was fundraising at the time herself and we had about 50 boxes of chocolates at home already to sell. So they said ok, well if you won't take chocolates you can just pay us $50/100 instead (whatever the equivalent was of the chocolates we were all allocated to sell). I refused and they wouldn't let me play until I did. Never mine we had no consultation at all about how we would fundraise. As a uni student who only earned $200 odd a week it was ridiculous!

Wondering why DH can escape to another room for almost 2 hours and the kids don't even go looking for him, yet I go to relax for 10 minutes by myself and they follow me one minute later and DD spits it when I tell her I want 10 minutes to myself!

Anyone else get this too? Oh to be a Dad!!!

Oh man, i hear that! It's not just dads though - my DS has two mums, and I'm the one he always wants! My DP can do whatever she likes pretty much, but I'm not allowed to go off anywhere by myself without DS following. It's hard... i struggle with this too.

Hubby is a shift worker so the kids just know not to go into our room when he is in there. Which also means on days off, he will spend hours in there on his Xbox or watching telly and they still won't go in there.

Yes and i complain about it all the freaking time. The teens are just as bad as the littlies. I often tell them that dad is a parent too.
