@MissDa congratulations on finding a donor! I am very happy for you :-) :-) :-) I know youve probably said it all before but if you want to/have time, can you tell me about it? Did you use EDA and how long did it take you? Was this the first donor you approached? Just asking because sometimes i wonder whether i should have tried to find a known donor in before going overseas. DH was really scared about having a known donor due to some pretty horrible custody stuff with his daughter. I think he was scared the donor would come and try and take any babies we might have had. (Even though i told him this couldnt legally happen- but when a man says he's happy to try with another ladies eggs and go to athens to make a sperm deposit, i figured- dont push your luck ;-) )

I think LB gives it 1 week before transfer, and if you get a BFP she gives it again at 6wks. So if I get a BFP I'm gonna have to get myself to Sydney again or find another doc who will give it on BFP!

IVIG & LIT I can't really expand on bcos I haven't had them & haven't looked into them much. IVIG I 'think' what girls were given before anyone realised intrallipids were just as good & much cheaper. LIT has got something to do with a couple having some kind of genetic 'match' which means the females body does something to the embryo.. So LIT I think involves the males blood? or plasma? being injected into the woman's arm causing a reaction, which somehow in turn prevents the embryo being attacked. Those are really bad explanations so I'd suggested you ask the girls in the NKC thread for a much better answer
Yes, i think this is right. I dont know much about it either but i also think the LIT is like when the ladies' body reacts to "foreign" stuff in the body like sperm/embryo as though it was like a disease so they have an immune response and attacks the foreign material. So they give you small doses of hubby's blood over time, kinda like a vaccination or like what they do for people with allergies, so the lady's body gets used to the partners 'material'. Yeah, not a real scientific explanation either, soz. ???

@winsor not long until your first counselling session. Every step closer is a mini victory against infertility.

@MissDa lol, ive had an inkling for a while that you look like Miss Honey from the Roald Dahl movie 'Matilda' (NOT MISS TRUNCHBULL) and now that you have used the word 'fantabulous' the image has solidified in my mind :-)

@Charlie74 thanks wow your amazing traveling all the way to Sydney whilst you are cycling? Did you just do a day trip or stay overnight. I have been googling and Dr M or at least I think it's the same Dr M seems to have a great reputation, I might have to research more, if I can't find anyone in Melbourne this may be an option. Can I ask why you dont just use LB for it!? Does it take long to get into Dr M? I'm with Primary IVF and want to stay with them due to low cost, still on LBs books though. I just want intralipids and for my next cycle in a few weeks.

Congrats @MissDa I knew those pumpkin sausage rolls would work hell I was borderline to offering you my bad arsed quality eggs just to get my hands on them. Desperate people do desperate things and anything with pumpkin and puff pastry makes me drool. But seriously when you get time can you link me the recipe please hun so I can make them. Thank you.
@Arianasmum sorry about your BFN POAS too.

to all of you having such a terrible time right now! This journey is so hard and such a roller coaster!

I'm hoping that all of you who have any chance of a BFP get some VERY POSITIVE news soon!!!

I'm sorry I'm not more specific - I found catching up was overwhelming (emotionally). I fell apart recently when my DH and I caught up with his bro and SIL and they causally said they decided to have a baby to keep their 6yo company! She's 46 - just like that got pregnant - didn't tell the family and is now due to give birth (CSec) on our wedding anniversary on Tue! Yup - no one knew (and we've all seen her at least once over the last 4 months - they live a bit far away). She doesn't really show (wears flowing clothes) and doesn't walk differently or anything. Basically everything is perfect about her situation I felt so selfish being upset about all that! but boy did I cry on the way home (poor DH didn't know what to do!)...
