    Ladies I am looking at how much money I will need to save for project sibling next year. The options I am looking at are:
    FET with our untested frosties with Genea
    DE in Aus or
    DE OS.

    DH won't go to SA so that's out and I know what the US costs but what about Greece and Czech republic? I am guessing airfares and accomodation would make it pretty exy?
    Also has anyone done an FET with Genea? I don't want to contact them myself yet because I am not sure that's what I want to do (low chance of success) but may try if it's not going to be too expensive.
    Also, this may be a silly question, but do low cost clinics do donor cycles here? From reading what you ladies have written it seems just as expensive to do DE here as OS. I am just wondering if there is a way around that.

    Best to speak to Dr Ongs staff ( not Monash) or the practice manager.
    I've had my fair share of issues with Monash, feel free to pm me if needed X

    Thanks hon, will do. I guess the first step is to figure out where our donor is at since she doesn't get traditional cycles. She's with me on this though - we both want to do a fresh cycle so they are going to have to find a way to make it work, even if that does mean a little bit of a delay.

    @Blossom74 Progynova on the first day of your treatment cycle, so the first day of your period, to start building up your lining. Can your ED go on the pill now to sync up with you instead, if she's ahead of you? Just a thought. I guess you'll know this arvo. Exciting!

    Sh!t blossom its pretty crappy that they haven't teed all this up before now, bad form. I was going to say you could do a freeze all, but obviously with having to fly there its not an easy work around. See what they say when the bloods come back.

    @faithandhopellove Genea FET cycle is:
    FROZEN EMBRYO CYCLE ($4155.00)
    Breakdown of above;
    Frozen Embryo cycle fee $3495.00
    Embryo Transfer $660.00 (Depending on private health cover)
    Medicare claimable cycles Rebates –
    Fresh Recipient Cycle/Frozen Embryo cycle $869.40 to $1582.95

    thats copy and pasted from my de cycle info - so i guess if you have phi it'll be around 2-2.5k oop

    @Blossom74 mines slightly different to the progynova, Im doing Ethinyl Estradiol tablets which Im guessing is the same principle. I start them as soon as bloods are baseline and I also stop the synarel at that point. Im guessing you cant start until your hormones are baseline?

    Unfortunately no, because she's on the Mirena.

    Yeah, I've been saying for weeks now "Shouldn't I be going on the pill?" If only someone had listened to me

    We kind of wanted to avoid the freeze all, as it's not just a double set of airfares etc, but also a separate cycle cost. We'll know more this arvo I suppose. My donor feels she might be at baseline so....hmmm...we'll see!

    Well, being that I'm CD16 I doubt I'm at baseline

    It'll all be ok. It might just be that we end up delaying a couple of weeks. There are only so many weeks in a month so it can't drag out too long

    Oh FFS's Luv, what a PIA!!!!

    I think it might be too late to do anything for you unless they start you on Synarel on Day 21 to shut down your ovaries??? You'll still get a period (which may be delayed a couple of days or so) but it will shut your ovaries down and put you into a temporary menopause. I wonder if that might be an option???

    I did that when doing my Long Down Regulated Protocols on Cycle 1/2/3.
