    1. Let your kids use the iPad / iPhone / tablet / smart phone? My 3 year old DD would use the iPad or smart phone most days while I cook dinner for about 30 minutes to an hour (ABC kids, Duplo and Disney Jr apps)

    2. Take your kids to the playground? Approx once a week

    3. Have take away as a family? Pizza every week, maybe once more

    4. Go to cafes / restaurants as a family? At least twice a week we go out with the kids to eat. My daughters are 3 and 1 and have both been going to cafes and pubs since they were a couple of weeks old

    5. Go out by yourself with friends? Not very often. Maybe once a month.

    6. Does your Other Half go out by themselves / friends? Aprox once or twice a week

    7. Go on holidays by yourself / with friends? Without the family? Never (me or DH)

    8. Go on holiday with your other half And leave the kids? Our very first kid free holiday (just a long weekend) is coming up in a couple of weeks and I cannot wait!!!

    9. Sit and read a book / surf the web / do a hobby at home while your kids entertain themselves - Rarely. My kids are not at an age where they entertain themselves.

    10. Cook dinner vs your other half? Probably 50/ 50 split. Although I cook up things in batches for the kids in the freezer for daycare days or snacks (muffins, fritters etc) which he doesn't do

And 11. How old are your kids? 3 and 1

[QUOTE=A-Squared;8543944]A bit of a fluff thread but I think I'll find the answers valuable to my parenting. So, how often do you?

    1. Let your kids use the iPad / iPhone / tablet / smart phone

Ipad in the afternoon for an hour except weekends, nil

    5. Go out by yourself with friends?

    Once a year maybe

    Never

    9. Sit and read a book / surf the web / do a hobby at home while your kids entertain themselves

    10. Cook dinner vs your other half?

    50% I cook, 50% he cooks

And 11. How old are your kids?

    8, 5, nearly 2

    6. Every few months maybe
    7. Never

    1. Let your kids use the iPad / iPhone / tablet / smart phone?
Not very often. My dd has an old phone of mine which she plays games on occasionally. She'll sometimes plug her headphones in and just listen to music on it. She also has a leapfrog, she plays with it maybe once a month. If we are somewhere new or at something where she gets bored I'll let her watch youtube on my phone. Not often though cos its chews my data 😂

    2. Take your kids to the playground?
Maybe once a fortnight.... ish. She prefers riding her bike/scooter so we take her to the skate park more often.

    3. Have take away as a family?
    Once or twice a week

    4. Go to cafes / restaurants as a family?
Once every one to two weeks maybe.

    5. Go out by yourself with friends?
I go shopping with friends pretty often while dd is at school. Don't really go out to pubs etc

    6. Does your Other Half go out by themselves / friends?
Dp works fifo 2 weeks on 1 off. When he is home he might go out with friends once in that week. Sometimes not at all

    7. Go on holidays by yourself / with friends?
    Never without dp and dd

    8. Go on holiday with your other half And leave the kids?
    Never

    9. Sit and read a book / surf the web / do a hobby at home while your kids entertain themselves
Pretty often lol, daily... even if it is for only 10mins

    10. Cook dinner vs your other half?
Mostly me. Dp might cook twice a week when his home.... sometimes not at all. He cooks me breakfast pretty often though!

And 11. How old are your kids?
    I have a 6yr old dd.
