Default How much are your rates?

SA, rates are $2600 for the year for me. It goes on council property valuation. I got my bill last week but I pay quarterly, doesn't include water/sewerage that is seperate and roughly $2800 for the year. My block is 900sqm

We paid about the same as you, $2200 in the northern suburbs of Perth and very close to the beach.

Too much, if you ask me.

Wow. I'm in SA with the same size block and I'm $1700 (plus another $1400 for water and sewer). I guess it goes on your capital value.

Following.... we received our first rates bill of approx $500 (for a quarter) - and we haven't even moved in yet - still building (I nearly pooped my pants!!)!! So this doesn't even include water or waste services. We are outside of Brisbane (considered rural) - on 1 acre.
