    Default Oral thrush

Hi ladies, I'm sure this has been asked but unfortunately I can't search anything at the moment.

    DS is 2.5
He's been taking the Flixotide Junior inhaler. We were warned it may cause oral thrush. I'm not really 100% what to look for. Didn't think to ask too many questions at the time.
I've noticed he's got little lumps (some white, some red) on the inside of his mouth, I'd say just on the inside near the corners of his lips. Both sides. He has said they hurt. Is this a sign? He's unwell at the moment as well. He's got no voice, coughing and a but of a snotty nose.
Should I be taking him to the doctor or is this something I can get over the counter if it is oral thrush?

    Thanks!

Sounds like oral thrush. I believe there are OTC medications you can get at the chemist. The pharmacist can probably help you confirm it too. Otherwise I would head in to the GP. Poor little man hope he gets better soon.

Thanks I'll stop in at the chemist tomorrow and see what they say.

Speak to the gp. If they're spots and he's unwell it could be hand foot and mouth.

He's has nothing on his hands or feet (assuming that it's usually a case of spots everywhere) the lumps in his mouth look a lot bigger than what I've always know for hand foot and mouth (never actually dealt with it with DS) he's mainly got a slight cold. More a cough than a runny nose. He has no voice but that's from his cough I'm sure. He's also pulling at his ears so I'm gonna guess it's possible teeth as well. He's still waiting on 3 molars (I think it is anyway lol)
I will ask at the chemist and if they say he needs to be seen by a doctor I will take him in. Hopefully it's something easy fixed.
