Default Quick poll: $ for classmate present

    1) How much do hubbers spend on a present to take to a birthday party for your kids classmate
-4-6 year range, You've never met the parents.

    2) when your kid gets a present from a classmate do you think about how much it costs? Secretly complain about some aspect of the present (cost or otherwise).

$15 max. I don't care about how much someone else spends. To someone else $15 might be too much, or it might be too little. I spend what I can afford and show gratitude for other people coming to celebrate my child's birthday and give them a gift.

$20-30 if it's one of her beasties. I don't care how much others spend and I've been trying to teach DD not to just expect presents and be grateful for the thought put in them.

I rather a $2 colouring in book thoughtfully chosen because it's her favourite character than a $50 present just spent coz.

$20 max, including wrapping paper and a card.

No, but I do gauge how much other presents would roughly cost when we're at parties 😶 at least I no longer feel like $20 is stingy and that I could even spend less.
I don't care at all how much or little people spend on my child's present, or what they give.
