Yep, that was me So our donor started the page and invited all the recips to join. There are...how many...hang on, lol...6 recips including me I think So we chat about all kinds of stuff, support each other through the process etc. One lovely is currently pregnant and due soon, one just got her BFP, I'm the newbie up-and-comer lol.

It's great! If this works for us we will only be having one bubba (that's the official party policy at this point anyway. Hubby will get an email notifying him of any future changes to the legislation in due course ) But *if*m we do only have one, they will always be able to see and contact others they are genetically related to, and also have contact with our donor too. It gives me peace of mind to know they will always have that support.

At Monash, or at least with LB, you see her for initial appt's, & then WTF appts if there's a problem.. But that's basically it. I haven't spoken to or seen her since Feb. And technically I don't really need to Bcos she wrote up all my scripts & Med plan etc back then. So it's not like it's a huge problem as such.. But when you hear about other FS's doing lining scans, follicle scans, or just being easily contactable at any time- it's really different to what Monash do. Once u see ur FS the nurses are basically your contact after that.

Yeah, I've only 'seen' my FS once via Skype! I will 'see' him again to go though our cycle plan in due course TBH it's not the way I'd do things if it were my first time round the IVF block, but being that I have 4 cycles of my own done already I feel ok about it. All my scans will get done here at home and be sent up to him, but I won't see him in person until I drop my hubby and donor off at the clinic on the 'big day.'

    My heart!

    Gosh! Breathe!

I just can't believe that in 4 months I've gone from "Well, that was our last cycle ladies, I'm out. There is no way forward." to "Get your motors running, here we go again!"

My poor brain is having trouble accepting that this time next month it'll be go, go, go! And that in October, a mere 2 months away, I could potentially be.....pregnant!

I can hear the rustling of POAS packets even now.

We ended up paying around 20K too. That included 3 FETs, donor costs and PGD testing. Still, your FETs will be cheaper than if you had to travel OS. Not that you'll need to do FETs because the fresh transfer will work!

@Tinachris yeah mate, its cheaper to go to athens/overseas. Insane but true. But i guess you also get a known donor included in that cost if you do it in australia.

Yes, my donor has a private facebook group too for her recips (she is up to 5 families now). Not everyone is on it as some people are more private than others but it's amazing to see the pictures of the donor conceived babies and hear how they are progressing.

So right now I feel like I'm in some kind of dream where im going thru the motions, but barely even thinking about the fact that I 'could' in a perfect world be pregnant in a few weeks time! YIKES!
Partly it's Bcos I'm too nervous to allow myself to think it might happen.. But also I think Bcos it's been such an abstract situation for so long that it doesn't seem real or a possibility.
@Maxwellsmum, so ur doing the same as me, the pregnyl trigger then 3 boosters. Are u on any other progesterone? Crinone or anything?
I know lining issues are completely heart breaking. I think you just go through the motions and try not to place too much importance on it for the sake of keeping your own sanity. Well I know I did. No wonder I was sobbing in the office when I had my day 12 scan. I'm definately batting for you hun as I know everyone else is too
Yes I am on 3 x 400mg presseries a day. I started them Monday night and Provera x 8 a day. Taken in 4 lots of 2. I am doing 1 pregnyl booster tomorrow. One on Sunday then one next Thursday.

How did you go using the nitrodur overnight @Charlie74 was it a bit better for you headaches wise? xx

@Charlie74 can you email LB? thats the one thing Ive loved about the private IVF world, being able to email the FS and ask questions. Its hard to remember to ask everything at an appointment. So excited for you too with your transfer, it HAS been a super long time
