You might recall a while ago I was telling you all about how painful my joints were? It all started suddenly during my last stim cycle and since then my hips, shoulders and knees have been absolutely killing me. I'm not one to take painkillers but I've often found myself dosing up just to be able to get some sleep.

Anyway, last week I went to my GP and lodged a formal complaint Something along the lines of only being 42 and walking like a grandma! He ordered some BT's which I duly carried out, and said that if there was anything that showed up he would call me, but to otherwise not bother about making an appointment to come back.

So I got a call last week saying the Doctor wanted to see me. My appointment is at 3pm today Quietly crapping bricks.....
@Blossom74 i hope everything is ok lovely lady. Your'e prob still in the waiting room at the gp's if they run late like my gps do. GP called me back once about a mole on my back and i was like, "That's it. I have cancer n im gonna die". But i didnt. They just wanted to cut it out just in case. Everytime i get thirsty, i think i have diabetes. But i dont. Once i had a sore throat for a week and it just wouldnt get better. I went back to the gp, told him i might have ebola. He said, "have you been to east africa recently?" I said I hadnt. He said, "Then you dont have ebola." Its most likely, its something small/minor and most likely whatever it is, there will be something that can be done about it. And maybe, thinking like an ivf-er here, its better sometimes to find a problem than to feel like crap but they cant find anything wrong, so then you cant even begin to fix it and you know you're not a crazy hypochondriac (like me). Just trying to cheer you up by telking silly stories. But seriously, thinking of you and hoping its something which will help to stop you feeling achey and tired xox

    Ok, I'm back

So....BT's show that liver, kidneys, thyroid and basic bloods are all normal. Tested negative for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, but my inflammatory markers which should be between 0 and 2 were 6.5 I said "Sounds about right - I feel inflamed...."

Doc doesn't want to do any further investigations yet because we're heading into IVF territory and possibly (hopefully) pregnancy territory, so prescribed some meds to help reduce the inflammation and said "See how you go with these for a month..."

If no better I'm off for further investigations (MRI, spinal tap) to rule out various possibilities. MS was one of them which he thinks is *highly* unlikely, or possibly fibromyalgia.

    Anywho....

    Hello old friend, Prednisolone....

@Blossom74 - this is also me. I never used to be such a hypochondriac when I was younger. I have had bowel cancer ( no I actually didn't) and a tumour on my jaw bone ( no I actually didn't ) and every time I am over thirsty I think I have diabetes! An actual possibility since I have had gestational diabetes twice. The likelihood is it will be nothing serious but it's always hard to convince yourself of that as you worry that if you don't worry something will come and bite you on the a**.

I'm doing okay, not much happening on my end ( apart from near death experiences). Am on EDA hoping to find a new donor, not stressing about it anymore. I'm sure the right person will come along X
