@Billie2 im not sure you could see anything on a scan just yet. Im sorry that you are in limbo land. How many weeks are you? Remember at this early stage that even a slight mm can make a huge difference. Have you tried doing a clearblue digital that might give you a rough estimate of hcg.
@Billie2 the fact you have a yolk sac is a good sign - its not an empty sac (blighted ovum). It could just well and truly be a measurement thing or just slightly behind but still ok. Thats the problem isnt it - the uncertainty. At least if you know what the deal is you can deal with it now.
just found this..
Mean sac diameter (MSD) is a sonographic measurement of the gestational sac which is usually first seen at around 3 weeks after conception (5 weeks after the last menstrual period), when it measures 2-3 mm.
@Heyside enjoy your anniversary, and keep going little embies.
@Billie2 it still might be too early to see much in your scan and at this stage the measurements could be out by 1mm easily and it could catch up. it's great it's in the right position. only time will give you answers now, as excruciating the wait is for it
@Billie2 I like charlie74 have never been pregnant so can't even imagine the suffering you're going through now. All I can do is encourage you to keep some hope alive that mm's are not hugely important at the moment. All the other bits of info sound promising. Hopefully @BlondeinBrisvegas can help encourage you along too. Don't worry about the champers that's for sure! Xoxo
@Billie2 - when I had a blighted ovum there was no yolk sac when I had my first scan.
The problem is 1 mm is miniscule- one sonographer could measure 4.5 and another could measure 4.6, that's what makes these measurements so hard to interpret at an early stage.
Hopefully the next blood test will tell you something. The limbo is awful, you just want to know am I in or am I out.
