    just found this..

Mean sac diameter (MSD) is a sonographic measurement of the gestational sac which is usually first seen at around 3 weeks after conception (5 weeks after the last menstrual period), when it measures 2-3 mm.

@Heyside enjoy your anniversary, and keep going little embies.
@Billie2 it still might be too early to see much in your scan and at this stage the measurements could be out by 1mm easily and it could catch up. it's great it's in the right position. only time will give you answers now, as excruciating the wait is for it

@Billie2 I like charlie74 have never been pregnant so can't even imagine the suffering you're going through now. All I can do is encourage you to keep some hope alive that mm's are not hugely important at the moment. All the other bits of info sound promising. Hopefully @BlondeinBrisvegas can help encourage you along too. Don't worry about the champers that's for sure! Xoxo

@Billie2 - when I had a blighted ovum there was no yolk sac when I had my first scan.

The problem is 1 mm is miniscule- one sonographer could measure 4.5 and another could measure 4.6, that's what makes these measurements so hard to interpret at an early stage.

Hopefully the next blood test will tell you something. The limbo is awful, you just want to know am I in or am I out.

@Billie2 its not a selfish post at all mate. Im so sorry that you are in limbo land still. Im hoping 1mm is not significant and their instruments/measurement callibrations or even human error could be causing a 1mm difference. Implantation itself is a good sign that your body will accept embryos and let them develop. But i know that notca tske home baby, which is what you want xox I wish there was something that could be done other than just waiting.

@Tahli my lining has always been an issue when doing a fet or down regulating. It gets to 6.something then drags its feet. I manage to get to 7 but it takes a long time. Hopefully the extra drugs this time get it over the line. Don't worry I'll be letting you know. I'll either be ecstatic or in the foetal position at around 8:15am tomorrow.

    Default IVF over 40#36

Double post.. Thanks for the encouraging messages. Im ok, Im not in pieces. Its not the end of the world, its just another bowl of shiiit being served up. Someone here said that they don't know how people conceive naturally, and now they don't know how people conceive with IVF. That is so so true. IVF babies are more miracles than natural conceptions. Its so bloody hard.
