I'm so excited for some reason the privacy issues don't bother me, I figure the government has all these details about me anyway, just in different departments. I found ABS data really useful when I was studying so am happy to provide my answers. Also our LGA / hospital catchment area has grown hugely, probably increased the number of residents by at least 30-40% since the last census so maybe this will give our hospital some more funding (I'm sure I read somewhere that's how they assign resources anyway).

    Default Census 2016

Just did ours, approved the 99 year release of our info.

Disappointed there was no atheist/agnostic option.

Wouldn't this just be 'no religion'?

Yes, they fall under 'no religion' category, but with the category growing in population, it would be interesting to see where people stand, non- practising, undecided, atheist, agnostic ect.

Bit disappointed that my civil union/partnership has to be categoised as defacto. Would it have been that hard to have it as an option! It is a legally binding agreement after all.

DH filled it out online a few days ago. I was surprised he was able to do it early because I thought it had to be a survey of the circumstances of the people in any given household on one particular night.. But Anyhoo, glad it's done!

I don't understand why people get so annoyed about the census. Now that it's online it's even easier to do.. I've never minded filling them out.

I'm disappointed that Judiasm doesn't have its own category. Wtf?

Because at last census we were at 0.4% of the total population so probably didn't qualify for our own box!
