Well the hackers sure showed us *rolls eyes* people will still submit the forms over the next 5 weeks or so. They achieved absolutely nothing. And hacking a website doesn't mean you get access to data. Just means you're a senseless menace with nothing better to do.

I'm not really too phased if hackers know my, I mean.... Census filler-in-erer number 375957291937's details.

I had a row with DH last night about this.
I wanted to wait and do the paper version, but he went ahead and did it online.
he was mighty peeved when he wasted 40 minutes of the little time he gets only to have the site crash over an over.
Now to hear they've been hacked is making my blood boil!
And they don't even have any clue how serious the hack was.
As I said to DH last night, if people's IDs are stolen, are the government going to compensate any losses?
    Nope!
It will be an apology AFTER the fact, the way they seem to do everything these days!

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's looking like a DOS attack at the moment which was successful. So basically the site was flooded with traffic that were bots not people trying to steal info. They wanted the site down so it couldn't be accessed.
