@Positivity exciting your scan is on Monday!! It's funny when someone says something and it just suddenly hits you. Congratulations on being an aunt. You'll have plenty of practice for when your bubs arrives and they'll grow up together so close in age!
@Annerley thanks for popping in and giving us all an update. Sounds like you're doing great. It's so nice to read. Good luck with the results next week! Enjoy the play school concert, I'm sure DD will!

Hey @Annerley I could really relate to your message. First of all I chopped all my hair off too! Haha. It got really thin with all the generals and lack of pregnancy hormones to make it nice and thick. Fresh starts for both of us.
I've had appointments and blood tests weekly, but have enjoy a semi break from IVF. I've started to feel like I have more energy which is nice. Have been enjoying all the changes DD has been making lately...their personalities really flourish at this age. I agree it's nice to enjoy the family time of three. My HCG is down to 14 and my body seems to have ovulated to should get my first AF within a couple of weeks. Was your first AF tough? I've heard it's supposed to be a doozy! If I don't pass my clot with that AF I'll wait until next year and I feel content with that decision. Look forward to the break.

I haven't been tested for immune issues yet. Maybe if we try for next year I'll be able to fit those in. We're those blood tests expensive? I found out that the biopsy charge is double the prices when using frosties this week. Lucky we were only charged for 4 and not 7. Would have been a huge bill

Went to see an acupuncturist this week and felt so relaxed! Hopefully she can help my hormones settle. I'm keen to get my body in the best possible possition for our next cycle.

How was the play school concert? We're off to the wiggles in November. They're at a great age for these shows.

It's lovely to hear how you're going. Keep well xxx

    Thanks @hopefull29 xx
@lotsathoughts would you believe that I've done the big chop too?! I don't like the idea of dying my hair while pregnant and the last time I went to the hairdressers was back in April as I was in my friends wedding so needed a colour and wanted to cut some length off back then but knew I couldn't being a bridesmaid. I had a FET just after that and then with this last pregnancy, I hadn't been again. It was so nice to get a freshen up, you really do feel like you need something like this after what's happened.
I didn't have hcg bloods this time so really didn't know when to expect af. It was pretty much a normal one thankfully as I was expecting a bad one too. I did bleed for 2.5 weeks (just lightly) following the procedure so maybe that helped. My af was heavy on day 2 but not terrible but the next day it tapered off to a light bleed for another 4 days.
The blood test was actually bulked billed, which was good after all the costs we already go through. I was actually quite surprised that it wasn't something that they automatically do before you start IVF. There were a lot of vials of blood taken!
When we first started both DH and I had hormone bloods taken and they tested my thyroid levels and they all came back clear. When DHs sample came back low, I know he went for another blood test, which also came back clear. FS told me that that blood test was his chromosome and antibody test so now this is the equivalent for me. She said the chromosome part only usually comes back abnormal for 1% of people and usually it's just something else you can tick off your list of covering off.
Apparently genea charge $800 per embryo when testing them and it's capped at $4k so a stim cycle with lots of embryos would be $9k out of pocket, compared to about $4k when we had DD as an ICSI stim is now $5k on its own. Is that the type of cost you are talking about? FS said that she tests before freezing and you can either do a freeze all since it takes a couple of weeks for the results to come back and then transfer a good one or do one fresh cycle of the best looking embryo (untested) and test the rest. Imagine paying the $4k and getting pregnant with the untested one!! It's the risk you take, I guess. So they don't charge you for the inconclusive ones and the no result one? At least that's something.
The play school concert was really fun! A bit lame but my eyes welled up a little in the opening song when I saw her dancing around and clapping. I just feel so blessed to be able to have these types of experiences with a child as we could have easily been robbed of these things. We are off to the wiggles in December, DD is a big fan! You'll have to tell me all about it!
Good luck with your next FET, I think it will be a good one, given it will be a normal embryo. Definitely a good idea to make sure your body is right with the clot first so none are wasted. After my ectopic, my af came about 10 days after a hcg level of 4 was detected. Hopefully yours isn't too far away too!

Default IVF babies due March/April/May 2017

I agree @Annerley you do need that freshen up after that experience.

Good to hear you AF wasn't too full on. I bled for about the same time after the d&c so hopefully that's a good sign??

Good to know it was bulk billed. My obstetrician who did the d&c bulk billed everything since then which is nice. Might find out about those tests when I speak to my FS next.

We were charged $410 per embryo and $995 for the biopsy. It's usually $450 to biopsy for a fresh cycle but was more because they were frozen already. $2635 for 4 as we only got 4 results out of 7. $800 is so much!! But I'm not surprised, I was with Genea when I lived in Sydney, everything was more expensive. Adelaide is much cheaper...but so are the wages
Still a big bill to get when we thought we were done. Thinking of it as saving money in the future is the only way to go. We were so grateful for those inconclusive and no results...saved us cash!

So cute about play school, those moments really are the precious ones. I'm so glad all the first time mums on here have that to look forward to as a new experience. All the experienced mum's have the joy of siblings to experience. It's hard work being a parent but those outings and moments together really are magic. Will let you know how the wiggles goes.

I hope my AF comes naturally and within 2 weeks. Will be nice to have faith my body can do what it's supposed to do. Will let you all know when I start the next cycle.

Look forward to hearing how your pregnancies progress everyone. Will pop in every now and then when I have news to share xxx

@lotsathoughts wow $410 would be so much better!! They didn't mention anything about a biopsy fee but maybe it's included in the $800 per embryo, well one would hope for that amount!! I get what you mean about being grateful for the inconclusive ones. Those 3 should be more than enough so it doesn't matter so much if you don't know about the others and saved you money too. I also think that it would be harder to discard lots of normals so maybe it will make things a little easier if they are unknowns. If I do it all again, I'll have to check if we'd get charged for any inconclusives. It's times like this that you almost hope for lower numbers of embryos and so long as you get some good ones to try then all should be good. Last time I got 5 blasts so that would be the full $4k but next time I'd be older but then who knows if they'd up the dose since I didn't over stim.

Hello! I am doing very well thank you for asking. Have been on a bit of a digital detox; I found I wasn spending far too much time online (FB, BH, etc) and wanted to focus on life.

Wow the group has grown! Lots of new names, and lots of familiar ones.

@lotsathoughts I am so sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself hun, it’s a hard time. I do hope you find some peace is your PGD normal embryos. xx

AFM, I was 17 weeks yesterday. We found out it’s another boy during the NIPT. I’m excited to have 2 boys close together, and hoping they are good friends. Nothing eventful really. Had pretty bad MS (nausea) until 12/13 weeks - then DS brought gastro home from childcare. That was awful! We’re moving overseas in January, and have to be out of our house to rent it at the end of November so things are full on. I swear I forget I’m pregnant 75% of the time. So different to the first pregnancy.

Glad to see so many of you are well. x

@ilex so glad to hear everything is going good! Congratulations on another boy! So exciting. I'm sure they'll grow up best mates.
Good on you for doing a digital detox. Something I should do, although now my energy levels are back I'm finding on spending less time on my phone/ computer.
Sounds like you've got a busy few months coming up! All the best with all the packing ect. Take it easy. xx

I feel so relieved! I had my nt scan which showed baby was perfectly healthy and growing well with a heart rate of 158. I was worried about the haematoma and the fact that I was measuring a week behind at the last scan but the haematoma was almost gone and baby is measuring 2 days bigger so I'm very happy and relieved. She was wiggling and dancing so much, it was very cute. They didn't actually give me any profile pictures which was disappointing but I got some cute 3d pictures

Hi team, I was just wondering how many weeks you were when you had your NIPT and how much it was? Just starting to look into all the different tests I can have
