@skeeter, welcome and congratulations on the twins, how exciting. When are you due?
AFM my OB appointment went really well, bubs measuring perfect and she said that its neck was so think she could hardly see it and that was a really good sign, even though I'm only 10 weeks. She said it would be very unusual for the NIPT to come back with anything concerning given the scan, so that was reassuring. Obviously I'm still very anxious, and will be until I get results in 2 weeks, but do feel better than I did this morning.

Is anyone still on aspirin? My fs told me to keep taking it until 12 weeks but now with the subchorionic haematoma I don't know if itll help or make it worse! I asked the gp today but she didn't answer me. She just gave some lame response like "there's no evidence either way". So she was no help. I don't want to keep taking it if itll make the bleeding worse but then again if it's a clot then maybe I should keep taking it. I don't know who to ask about it

@bubbles21 can you call your FS/ fertility clinic and ask? Alternatively maybe you could see an OB? I'm sure they would squeeze you in sooner rather than later if you explained you situation. You can see an OB without getting them to manage your whole pregnancy/ birth. The OB management fee isn't due until 20wks. Up until then it only costs a little bit more than the GP. For my initial OB consult + ultrasound I was out of pocket $60. Subsequent antenatal visits inc. ultrasound I have been out of pocket $6.
I'm sorry the GP was so unhelpful. You deserve better!!

@Gypsy37 that's great news your OB appt went so well! I'm sure your results will be perfect. Which NIPT did you choose? We went with harmony and got results back in 6 days- sooner than they said.
@bubbles21 I would think it's best to keep taking it but def call your FS/ clinic to ask. Your doctor really sounds terrible to not tell you that either way. It makes me so mad to hear about careless GP's like this. I hope you can get some answers soon x

Anyone know of any good active wear brands that do maternity clothes? I work in gym tights and they're starting to feel a bit snug in the waist today...... Thinking of getting prepared and purchasing a pair or two so I've got them ready for when my current ones are just too uncomfortable.
I also do heaps of yoga and Pilates so I'll be wearing them pretty much daily so quality is important.

Thanks @hopefull29. I'm in perth and we have different options I think. I did the iGene which gets sent to Singapore. OB said she had had some come back in 7 days but usually around 14! Fingers crossed it comes back sooner rather than later. At the 12 week scan do they check for things other than NT? Just wondering why my OB said I could come back at 13 to 13 1/2 weeks? I'd prefer to get it all done and dusted if the 12 week scan checks for more than NT? @bubbles21 I am in clexane, which is a daily injection because I have blood clotting issues, I have to have that throughout my entire pregnancy- my tummy is black and blue. What were you on the asprin? @hopefull29- sorry, no idea about good maternity active wear, but is be keen to find out as all I want is to be comfortable at the moment.

@Gypsy37 I'm not on aspirin for any particular reason. It's just the protocol the fs uses with everyone

@hopefull29 I've heard some of the lululemon styles are good for pregnancy? I'm also keen to buy some new active pants. Let me know if you come a cross something

@Gypsy37 Yes they do check for other things in addition to NT at the 12wk scan. Although its main purpose is to check for Down syndrome they also look for any structural abnormalities.
Not sure why your OB has said come back at 13wks? Won't you be seeing the OB straight after the NT scan? Does that mean you have to wait a week for your NT report?
When will you be doing the blood component of the NT test? I did my blood work at 10wks & my OB sent a copy of the results to the sonographer & consultant so they could do the calculations during the scan & write the report straight away. After the scan I went to the OB clinic & he explained the report. It was nice to get the full report on the same morning.
In saying that, even if you don't see your OB for a few days following the scan I think the sonographer & consultant will give you a pretty good idea of how things are.
    P.S I'm also in Perth

@Muchulu1 yay for being a Perthite- I thought I was on my own
My OB does the scans as she is a specialist sonographer as well, and yesterday, at my 10week visit they scanned and said it all looked great and couldn't even see the neck it was so thin, she said based on that she'd be surprised if anything came back from the NIPT, but she's going to call me as soon as it comes in. I think she said 3 weeks because she was confident all was ok with the NT. However I may just come back in 2 weeks and get it all double checked and ticked off, hopefully!
p.s- isn't it a beautiful day?? Feels like spring has finally arrived
