@SurferGalGC that's soo cool!!! Love that photo, it must have been super exciting! I know you said you had a bleed earlier on and I was just wondering whether this scan showed it had all gone away? Did your earlier scans look like this after you had a bleed? The baby is on the left and the weird sac or haematoma or whatever it is is on the right. It's so big

@bubbles21 the sonographer did mention the bleed in passing yesterday. I tried to call her up in it to ask questions but she seemed so unphased by it. I took my hospital scan details with the measurements along and asked if she wanted to compare the size but she said it wasn't necessary.

My bleed did look similar to that on the screen. Mine was about the same size as the baby's sac on my first scan. They haven't really shown me it properly on other scans. And I haven't got any photos from the hospital scans.

Good luck with the GP today. If you want to ask for a follow-up scan in a couple of weeks then don't be afraid to, you deserve to have some reassurance!!

@SurferGalGC that pic is amazing! You must be on cloud 9! So is that your 12 week done and dusted? Did you get your NIPT results as well? @hopefull29 not long to wait until your scan- exciting! Glad you're getting some energy back, I'm been like a sloth these past 2 weeks, so tired! My nausea is out of control, but it's all be issue of my smell! I'm like a blood hound, I can't even open the fridge without gagging, and God forbid if DH comes near me for a kiss after drinking coffee or alcohol !
I am 10 weeks today and have my reassurance scan in an hour with my lovely OB, so anxious, praying the little heartbeat is stil going- feel sick! If all is ok I will get my 1st trimester bloods done today and my NIPT test done tomorrow- god I pray I can make it through these next 2 weeks without having major anxiety attacks.
Re cleaning- I'm a total nutter about chemicals, can't have them near me. I also made the vinegar with tea tree oil spray that I use, but DH does all the heavy work with cleaning as I can't cope with it, and unfortunately I think you need the bleach etc to clean bathroom etc. @bubbles21 I'm so glad your scan went well, hopefully it's nothing to worry about and will resolve itself. You'd think if there was going to be a problem if would have already occurred. Good luck with your appointment.

Well the gp appointment was all doom and gloom she was soo negative and I cried the whole way home from my appointment. She said "in my many years as a dr I've seen a FEW women not have a miscarriage after having such a large haematoma but it didn't end well for many so I would prepare myself for the worst". Then she said there is a nice strong heartbeat and hcg level was at the high end for my gestation which was good. She also said not to get any scans before my nt scan and not to get the nipt until I'm well and truly past the first trimester, which defeats the whole purpose if I won't get results till half way through the pregnancy if it progresses. I asked her to sign for my nipt referral anyway and I'll think about it. She also sent my antenatal referral to the hospital I'll be going to but they don't do first appointments until 16 weeks so I feel like I'm in limbo right now because she made it sound like I should just sit and wait for a miscarriage I'm thinking I might still do the nipt at 10 weeks because if it does progress I want to know that everything is ok. What would you all do? Would you go ahead with the nipt because there's still currently a heartbeat or am I doomed?

@bubbles21 I am so sorry to hear your GP was so negative. That sounds like a horrible experience to have had . If I was in your position I think I would try to focus on the positives & surround myself with supportive people. Your bub has a strong heartbeat & your HCG levels are great. I'd also do the NIPT at 10wks. Anything that offers any hope or reassurance is a good thing. Miscarriage is a tragedy under any circumstance. As hard as it must be try to be hopeful. One of the girls in my other DIG had a massive haematoma & presented to her OB with 'gushing bright red blood' & is continuing on with a healthy pregnancy. She is now ~16wks with a healthy baby boy (NIPT). Since her bleed her OB has been observing & scanning weekly. Do what feels right for you. Your GP is just one opinion. Sending you lots of love & support xx

@Gypsy37 how did you go today? Hope you're feeling better after seeing bubs again!
I hear you about smells. Luckily that's eased a little for me now but we were at a market over the weekend and someone was cooking seafood, I literally had to run away gagging. Lol poor DH didn't know what was going on.
I hope your nausea eases soon. I think your energy will come back in a few weeks. I was the worst from weeks 8-11. I got so excited when I could be bothered vacuuming the other day lol.
@bubbles21 OMG you poor thing. I really can't believe the doctor said that and left it as that. Could you ask for a referral to a gyn/OB? I know you're going public but I'm sure someone will see you until your hospital appointment. Would help with reassurance and also good to get a second opinion by someone who specialises in pregnancy. Or could you call the hospital and ask to be seen sooner? Im sure they would, as after a bleed you'd be considered high risk and need extra monitoring. The doctor really should have organised this for you.
I would really be pushing to be seen sooner. It's not fair on both you and bubs to be in limbo. It's just going to cause extra stress you don't need.
Big hugs Hun, I'm praying this doctor is just a d!ck and has caused unneeded stress xxxx

Oh @bubbles21 I'm so sorry you had such a crap appointment. I agree 100% with @hopefull29, focus on the positives. Bubs heartbeat is still strong, HCG levels still great, these are all great signs. Also, your GP is jus a GP, I think you should try to go see an obstetrician, even if it's just for one or 2 visits, you'll get expert advice and scan etc, might cost you $300 but will put your mind at ease. You really want the best people looking after you at this stage, not a general practitioner. She's probably seen only a handful of pregnancies with hematomas, an OB will give you much better advice. I would also go ahead and have the NIPT, you've had nothing else happen since that day of bleeding, continue on like all is ok. I'm sorry you're going through this, it's not bloody fair.
