@hopefull29 Great to hear the accupuncture helped! I did it weekly up until 13wks. It really helped me manage my stress & anxiety. I hope it continues to offer you lots of relief!
@lotsathoughts All the best for your weekend away. I hope you have lots of snuggle time with DH & DD. Will be thinking of you on Monday xx
@Gypsy37 Such wonderful news! Congratulations! & what a wonderful OB! So happy for you

    AFM- 14+1 today
Thinking of buying myself a fetal Doppler. What are your thoughts? 4wks between OB appts. feels like forever!! I had my last scan/ OB visit at 12+5 & it already feels like months ago! OB said I could call anytime I need reassurance but if I actually did that I'd be down at his office every week. Im thinking a doppler may be a good compromise? I've heard mixed reviews about them. Some say they just cause unnecessary worry? What do you think?

Thanks ladies, I'm going ok. I thought I'd be a complete mess especially since this was our last frostie from stim 1 and we thought we would never be in this position of running out of them. I do have teary moments and feel very disappointed that this was ripped away from us. Overall, I'm just enjoying my time with DD and I really try not to overthink it as I don't want to get stuck being miserable. Instead we've made some future exciting non- baby related plans and it's really helped to think about all of that. We are just having a long break from IVF at the moment to reassess what we want to. We don't have any real timeframes at the moment, just taking it as it comes. This would certainly be easier to accept if conception was easy as I'd then have comfort in knowing that we'd get another baby whenever we wanted. The uncertainty does plague me a bit.
@lotsathoughts I definitely get what you were saying about thinking this was it for you and that you'd complete your family and be able to put all of this IVF business behind you- that's exactly how I felt. My FS didn't charge for my scan too, she also didn't charge in January when she diagnosed the ectopic. It's a small consolation! I only had to pay my $100 hospital excess, no fee for anything else. It all adds up though as I also had to pay the $100 just to go to the hospital and have the mtx injection to dissolve the ectopic earlier this year.

Congrats to those who have had happier news at their scans, I really hope your pregnancies keep going smoothly xx

@Gypsy37 that's awesome news!! I bet you're so relieved! What a strong heart beat! Your OB sounds lovely. So great she's happy for you to do fortnightly visits.
I'll continue acupuncture weekly at the moment, then she said once my sickness eases I can go fortnightly then monthly I think and then pick it up again as we get closer to due date.
@Muchulu1 I've also heard mixed reviews. Hard to say. I was keen to get one but I think if I couldn't hear the HB one day I'd be beside myself so maybe best for me not to. I've actually never seen one in action so can't comment that much. I can't believe you're 14+1 already. You'll be having this baby in no time!
@Annerley pleased to hear you're coping ok. It's great to have exciting non baby plans in place, I feel it's something we all need. IVF runs your life otherwise and you put life on hold too much for it.

Thanks @hopefull29, yes I am so relieved. When I went in there they took my blood pressure and it was 180/90- through the roof. I told them to take it after the scan, 20 minutes later it had gone down to 120/80- thank god! How's your ms today? Still ok after the accu?
@muchulu- I don't know. I looked into it a bit and was considering it too but I agree with @hopefull29 that it may cause more distress. I also read that they may not be safe to use all the time. I think once I'm a bit further along I'll probably look further into it. @Annerley, glad you've got some nice things to look forward to that are not IVF related, it's so easy to become all consuming, and it drives you mad.

@Gypsy37 lol my blood pressure is always sky high when I walk into a doctors room. It takes a few minutes for it to drop. I got told once I have white coat syndrome. I'd hate to think what it it before a scan. Before my EPU it was like 190/110 or something ridiculous and the nurse refused to redo it but afterwards it dropped to like 110/70 thankfully.
Morning sickness has returned this morning but seems better, like I'm vomiting but then that's it I don't continue to feel sick. I also didn't wake up at 2am so feeling better about that too.

Morning everyone how everyone feeling this weekend? My ms has eased the last day started to have bit more of appetite.
I wondered how you were able to get scans more regularly? I have to wait another 3 weeks until my 12 week scan and last scan was at 7 weeks? Can I ask for ones in between? I'm hoping everything is still ok

@Annerley you're so strong. I admire your attitude and resilience. I'm glad you've got exciting plans on your horizon, I think having positive goals is so important when getting out of a depressing place. I look forward to getting to that place one day. Thank you for sharing how you're going, it gives me hope.
I agree, I love reading about all the positive things happening with everyone's pregnancies. You all deserve it so much. Xxx
@Gypsy37 I'm feeling quite flat and randomly start crying when something pops into my mind. But emotions continue to move so I'm having lovely moments with my DD and DH which I'm grabbing with both hands. Trying to let myself feel sad when I need to be. Nights are the worst, I wake up and it's the first thing that pops into my mind and I can't return to sleep. That will ease with time I'm sure.
@Finchee are you going public or private? With public you have to wait until 12 weeks for your next scan unless you have a bleed or you're concerned about something. If you wanted to pay extra there are always private scanning places, not sure if you could go there at 10 weeks, possibly. ? Good luck, the wait is tough. x
@hopefull29 at least the sickness is releaving you slightly. Hope it starts to tone down soon for you. Xx

@Finchee glad to hear your morning sickness is easing and you've got more of an appetite. I had a scan at 7 weeks, then one before my harmony test (my place always does a scan before harmony to make sure bubs is still ok) at 10 weeks, then have to wait until 12 weeks for my next scan. So if I didn't do the harmony test, then would have to wait from week 7 until 12.
Are you going private? Because I think an OB does a scan each visit.
@lotsathoughts thanks Hun. Hope you're enjoying your weekend as much as you can. I promise one day you'll wake up and it will all feel ok. Take as much time as you need, there's no right or wrong way of dealing with this grief. You're a strong person. You can do it. xx

@Finchee I think most private OB's do a scan at each visit. Our OB has an ultrasound machine in his office. It's a pretty basic machine tho. Quite small compared to the ones at the imaging centres. Mostly just for reassurance I think. With all the important scans he refers to a specialist imaging centre.
If you want some reassurance before your 12wk scan I'd just ask your GP. When I went to see my GP to get the referral for the OB he said he could give me a referral for a scan if I had any concerns or wanted some reassurance. I think you just have to ask.
