@bubbles21 trust me be thankful you're not sick. Especially whilst on placement. What a big 4 weeks you're going to have. So much happening and so much excitement!!
@lotsathoughts thanks Hun. Enjoy meeting your OB tomorrow. Wowee only 13 weeks of your current job. That's awesome!! I've been thinking about when I'm going to finish up. I have a pretty physical job so I'm thinking I'll gradually reduce my hours from about 22-25 weeks and then see how I'm going but will definitely finish up treating clients at 32 weeks if I can last that long.

I'm getting some acupuncture done on Friday. I'm going to a lady who specialises in fertility and pregnancy. I had a chat to her and she thinks she'll be able to help my morning sickness. She also said she would get me on some magnesium as that should help too. Fingers crossed!! I think I could cope much better if it wasn't affecting my sleep. I don't know of anyone else that's gotten morning sickness from 2am and unable to sleep so I've got no one to give me any tips.

Thanks for listening to me whinge over the last few days, I promise I'll stop now. xx

If I was getting woken up with morning sickness id be complaining too @hopefull29 so complain away. As someone who's suffered from insomnia I'm well aware of how debilitating it can be. That, along with the fatigue of pregnancy is hard. Hope the acupuncturist can help!
I take magnesium in powdered form (magtaur xcell) and have been on it for ages. It's my morning and night drink, I forget it's actually a vitamin.
I had to start slowly as the recommended dose would upset my tummy. But I've been able to increase it slowly. Hopefully it will help. Xx

@Finchee, that is so strange, I too had a UTI and had no idea! Normally I know straight away because I'm in agony and peeing blood, but this time all I felt was a little bit bloated. I hope it clears up quickly. Thyroid problems are very common in pregnant, and I'm sure my first pregnancy/miscarriage was what triggered my thyroid issues. It's pretty easy to fix and monitor. @bubbles21- thanks for the info on the NIPT test, that sounds like the best one. I will discuss with my OB on Friday. @hopefull29- I hope you're feeling better today. Good luck with the Accupuncture. I do think it makes a difference to ms, though I want yesterday and she tried to put the needle in the sickness point and it was awful! Bloody killed and made my fingers go all numb, I flew up from the bed- needless to say she didn't put any more needles in those spots, but she did put an acupressure thing on there to help.
I'm having a freak out day today. Am feel off, but not as off as other days, and my boobs aren't as sore. I have my first OB appt on Friday and a scan and I'm terrified that my baby will no longer have a heartbeat- it won't happen, will it?? I'm so so sick with worry.

@hopefull29 @Gypsy37 yeh I had no symptoms of uti so no idea I had it. I've been given antibiotics to clear it up.
Found out my thyroid function was normal before pregnancy and I looked into my recent results and they aren't roof at out of range and different places have different ranges for normal. I'm going to try not worry, have been for additional test today to check antibodies in thyroid, just have to wait until next week until results now.

@hopefull29 sorry to hear your not able to sleep. I've been waking up everyone morning at 4am feeling so sick and unable to get back to sleep. I think I'm going to just try eating something to help ease the sickness not sure what else to do. @Gypsy37 I'm sure everything will be ok with your appointment and scan. I know it's hard not to worry but it'll be ok.

@Gypsy37 yesterday I was feeling great! Energetic, no real nausea and today I'm flat out fatigued. It's funny what a day can do with symptoms. You sound like you've just had a milder day. Good luck Friday. I see my obstetrician tonier night! Can't wait to get another scan xx

Did anyone see Offspring? Their take on IVF was a little disappointing.

Thanks ladies, hopefully all will be ok! @lotsathoughts, I can't bear to watch Offspring at the moment because it's too close to home, as if this pregnancy doesn't work out I was seriously thinking I'd have to ask my sister for an egg, and I don't think she's keen- hence it was too painful to watch Offspring, even though I love it! Was it bad??
Good luck with your scan tomorrow, exciting xxx @Finchee I have found that blueberries are amazing at making me feel better when I wake at random times feeling sick and hungry- give it a go!

For sure @Gypsy37 can understand it being too close to home.
One thing was they mention during stimulation you get horny (I didn't experience that!) and then when she was getting a scan the lady mentioned that the eggs look ready to come out, we'll collect them tonight! Just like that, no trigger, no waiting. It just felt really flippant. You take some drugs, get horny and oh look, eggs are ready to come out. You go into a soothingly dark room and wake up so groggy you look like you're drunk. And you're drunk for a few hours after too
So weird. Not impressed and I love Offspring usually too!!

Oh yea, @lotsathoughts, I saw on the ad the Dr saying that she had 12 good eggs or something, and I thought how ridiculous it was because they are obviously follicles and not all will contain an egg! That annoyed me and it was only the ad! Horny- that's hilarious! I was the total opposite- more a "don't you dare touch me or come near me" feeling

@lotsathoughts thanks Hun. I've taken magnesium in the past, was a chocolate drink it was actually pretty tasty I think it was called energy x was combined with some other vitamins. I got this from a naturopath so maybe the acupuncturist will give me something similar.
@Gypsy37 when I've had acupuncture in the past and points have hurt I've been told it's because the point is aggravated and that's why it's so sore. This used to happen to my stress point all the time when TTC.
It's so hard when you have a lesser symptom day, but try not to let it stress you. I'm the queen on stressing when you have a day without as many symptoms but I'm slowly learning that it's very normal. I'm sure on Friday your mind will be put at ease. How many weeks are you now?
@Finchee at least you didn't have any symptoms to make you feel crappy. I hope those antibiotics kick in and clears everything up for you. Good luck with your additional tests, hope they bring good news.
Sorry to hear you've also been waking up through the night feeling sick. It's not much fun. I hope a snack helps you, it makes me worse.
@lotsathoughts omg that offspring episode made me pretty cranky. Lol I thought I was just being a bit sensitive. It was like the writers did no research what so ever on it. And yep I definitely didn't get the horny side effect they were banging on about.
@Gypsy37 totally understand about it being too close to home. I loved the show but did struggle before I was pregnant to watch it and enjoy it.

I've taken tomorrow off work to try and hopefully sleep. Getting a scan and my NIPT test done tomorrow afternoon too. Can't wait to see little bubs again. I'll be super anxious again no doubt even with these super strong symptoms.
