Default Rio Olympics 2016 - excited? Indifferent? Mildy interested?

How do you feel about the Olympics?

I personally really enjoy it, though I get mad at the coverage being inadequate sometimes!

If you are psyched about it, what are your fave events? I love the swimming, diving and gymnastics.

I just saw another negative article about Rio though - the waterways where some of the events are being held are extremely contaminated and the athletes have been told not to open their mouths in the water Apparently the organisers underestimated how bad it really is (I'm talking bodies/body parts found floating in the water).

Just read the main sailing ramp collapsed and there was an explosion (apparently a toolbox) at the main stadium.

I have to admit while I generally enjoy sporting events, I'm very doom and gloom about this one.

It's a bit alarming, right? Lots of stuff has been going wrong. Hopefully there won't be any major dramas once the events kick off

I hope so for the sake of the Olympians.

Hopefully this will serve a warning to the Olympic committee about being more careful where they harvest their bribe money .

Indifferent. I don't watch tv hardly at all and don't read the newspaper (geez I should like fun NOT! Lol) but will fake an interest for my school age kids I guess, just doesn't interest me really.

I quite like watching the diving and gymnastics

I am also a bit doom and gloom about it, seems like theres lots of stuff going wrong and it doesn't seem to have been very well planned

I wonder if the Zika virus is going to stop as many people travelling....

I absolutely love the olympics. DH and I are sport tragics.

I really hope all will be ok in Rio.

Definitely looking forward to it. While the Olympics is on, we rarely watch anything else. Love the swimming, diving, gymnastics and the track and field events. Not so fussed on things like weightlifting and boxing though. I find it's an opportunity to watch sports you wouldn't normally watch - judo, hockey, fencing etc

I'm excited and will watch what I can. I like gymnastics, cycling in the velodrome, diving, rowing, equestrian. Last Olympics I was on mat leave and the 2 before I was a uni student so this is my first where I have to balance work commitments as well as my sports viewing lol
