    Default Breastfeeding and ttc

How many of you have successfully fallen pregnant while breastfeeding? How old was your bub at the time? Or did you have to cut down/give up bfing to fall pregnant?

My DD is 15 months old and still has 3 or 4 feeds a day, I have only come off the mini pill 5 or 6 weeks ago now but am yet to get my period. I'm going to try cut DD down on her feeds but she still very much wants the boob.

I fell pregnant three time while breastfeeding.

I didn't need to cut down on feeds.

I have fallen pregnant while breastfeeding twice, once ended in miscarriage.
In hindsight I wish I'd waited to wean before falling pregnant again, one to give my body a break to recover and replenish and two because it gets painful to feed almost immediately for me. So my older baby always had to give up the boob before they were ready.

I fell pregnant whilst breastfeeding my ds. He was 10 months old and still having about 4-6 feeds a day. My period had returned when he was 6 months old though so I knew I was ovulating. I was taking vitex (Blackmores brand) the month I fell pregnant not sure whether it helped or not.

I also fell pregnant whilst breastfeeding. At the time I was feeding about 4/5 times a day and once overnight. I stopped the mini pill 2 weeks prior in preparation to get my cycle back and fell pregnant straight away and didn't know for almost 2 months and I weaned dd1 (she was 2 and I wanted to wean) about 2 weeks after conceiving (but had no idea).

It was a shock as I wasn't expecting to fall pregnant whilst breastfeeding and so quickly after stopping the mini pill. Unplanned but not unwanted 😊

(Eta: I never got my AF at all)

    Fallen pregnant twice while breastfeeding.
First time DD1 was 4.5 months old and fed basically 24/7, haha every 2-3 hours. Fed while pregnant then went on to feed both for 10 months.
Second time DD2 was 14 months and fed 3-5 times per day no feeds overnight. Still feeding now at 17 weeks pregnant.

Period returned 6 weeks pp with number 1, 10 weeks with number 2 with ovulation the following month after first period came.

Have you had any period since Bub was born?

Also wanted to add that I found 14-18 months a huge feed increase in both my girls wanting boobie all the time and me mostly distracting them to not feed constantly lol.

I fell pregnant with #2 when #1 was 15 months old. I was only feeding him a couple of times a day though. Prior to cutting down the feeds I hadn't gotten a regular period, I think it only got regular once he started self weaning.

We got pregnant pretty much right away.

I am yet to get my period yet, i thought it was because i had been on the mini pill that i hadn't gotten it. I think i might be ovulating. I started getting some ewcm a few days and got a faint line on an opk yesterday. Will do another opk today to see if its any darker. Last month when i did opks around the time of getting ewcm i didn't get anything at all.
