Default How long before meds and antibiotics out of your system?

    Hi all,
We are planning on starting to TTC in a month or so, but lately both DH and I have been sick with coughs and tonsillitis. I went on antibiotics, then Lo and behold contracted thrush (sorry for tmi) and have been treating that in the usual way. I've also been on some pretty strong codeine based cough syrup to help me sleep at night. None of this medication is recommended during pregnancy and although I'm obviously not preggers it surely doesn't seem too healthy to have all this in my system if TTC.
What do people think? How long does it take till all of this crap is out of my system? Should I be detoxing or something?

No need to detox. It will be out of your system within days of you finishing your medications.

You are in "detox" as we speak...your liver and kidneys are your body's in-built detoxifying and elimination system

Most antibiotics and opioids (codeine and similar) will be eliminated from your system within a few days of stopping.

Get on top of the thrush, as you are doing, and then go for your life! Good luck.
