    Default Star Wars Party !

    So I've just started to plan DS 6th birthday party and now after watching the original Star Wars movie ( thanks DH) he's obsessed! I've got some great ideas from Pinterest and I know @Californication is also planning a Stars Wars party but have any hubbers done one or have any cool ideas for food, decorations or games? I'm holding it at a local community centre as I'm inviting all his kindy class plus old friends so I won't have enough room at home! It's from 2-5pm so ill do more afternoon tea/party food , I love doing themed food and am not totally up to date with all the new Star Wars characters so jump in with any ideas ( eg: I'm going to do Han and Cheese crossaints and Jedi Jelly kinda stuff!!)

    we did a Death Star piñata where ds5 needed to wack it with a lightsaber.

    Put Star Wars food into pinterest aswell and you'll come up with great ideas.

    If I get organised enough I will upload some pics from ours. DS1s bday 2 weeks ago Star Wars theme. I used Pinterest for ideas, there are some great things on there depends how much effort you want to go to. I found heaps of Star Wars themed decorations at the $2 shop - balloons, piñata, banners, serviettes, cups, plates, party bags etc.

    I did signs for the themed food 'Luke Skywater', 'Ham-solo sandwiches', 'Princess Leia buns', etc etc. this provided a bit of fun and laughs for the parents too.

    You've reminded me I need to get a wriggle on. I have made my invites, but nothing else yet! It's 5 weeks away, but I know it will go in a flash. Going to start making the Death Star piñata next week when the kids are at school. I just hope it doesn't rain. Jedi training will be a washout if it does!

    Default Star Wars Party !

    Make sure you take photos so I can steal ideas! I'm going to try make the pool noodle light Sabres and I've found some cheap Star Wars capes , I've got my food ideas done I think, im just going to work out some more games , decorations and party bags - I found invitations on Etsy which also has some cool Star Wars ideas

    We just made this as a test run for the party at my SIL house today - it's a yoda melon!
