    Default Calvary North Adelaide (cesarean)

Hi! Has anyone had their babies at Calvary North Adelaide?
    How did you find it?
Could your partner stay with you? Did they charge for his accommodation/food?
    What are the rooms like?

I had both my babies there. DD almost 2 yrs ago and DS 5.5mths ago. We chose Calvary as its close to home. First time we had a nice big room with a view. Second time was a smaller room but had been renovated. To be honest I wasn't fussed. DH stayed with me both times and slept on a fold out bed. He was charged for food and accommodation but our health cover was able to cover it.

The midwives were helpful, some more than others. Both my babies were very, very unsettled crying constantly at night times. It was a lifesaver a couple of times when the midwife on duty offered to take them to the nursery in the wee hours of the morning so we could get a couple hours sleep.

You can arrange to take a tour of the hospital before you decide

I had my ds there in 2014 and I had a great experience. I had a csection and I found the midwives very caring and supportive. My recovery was also uncomplicated. My boy was also very unsettled and I swear those midwives were magic he always came back sleeping

For us we didn't have problems with parking. They have 1 - 2 hr free parking spots just outside the hospital. A little bit further down the street there is parking available with no time limits.
