Ive been booked for csect at 39 weeks 4days which is October 17...
Ps had maternity shoot today
Hi ladies so I'm 37+2 today had an OB appt on Thursday and my naughty baby has turned posterior since last week also internal check says cervix high and tight with no sign of engagement or thinning. I was always going to be induced next week due the gestational diabetes but now at this stage looking at a c-sec next Friday because my OB says for 1st pregnancy with baby in that position and non engagement and the added stress of having to be on an insulin drip during pregnancy my chances of a successful vaginal birth are about 5%
I'm really disappointed and scared of a caesarean just looking for some assurance from other ladies who have had one... or someone that had a posterior baby that turned and engaged in a week??..
Am I clutching at straws?! This sucks
I had a posterior breech baby who was super comfy up in my ribs honestly found the cesarean fine, had a spinal block which meant I could get up and about quicker than an epidural... also wore compression pants after which helped big time and also took all the drugs offered and felt great within a week... now 10 weeks later besides a scar you wouldn't even know
