i got my Moby off gumtree. Amazon do them too.i use the newborn hug hold from naturallythriftymumma on YouTube. DS loves it especially if I am topless and he can feel my skin. I was surprised by how comfortable the wrap is less than two weeks after a c section

For all you mummas who have already popped...

What were the must haves in your hospital bag, what stuff did you pack but could have done without and what do you wish you had packed??

We haven't started cloth yet. Our stash is OSFM so he's still a bit too small. We are on holidays to Qld currently so I think by the time we are home next week he will fit them. His legs aren't chicken newborn anymore, they have some chunk on them.
What inserts are you using? Might pay to add an extra layer. In saying that, cloth will never last as long as sposies, and it is recommended you change them more frequently.

    I didn't have anything I needed but didn't have.

I didn't wear my "nice" clothes at all. Even when people came it was just clean bed clothes.
I didn't wear my slippers but I did wear my bed socks.

I cherished my depends undies, breastfeeding pj tops, lanisoh, and moisturiser. Oh and extension cord for my charger cos they're always too far from the bed.

Barca 07 my recommendations are... if your having a c section just get super pads and liners... I was on liners by day 8 as my OB did a great job at washing me out as they say... I bought nightie with the buttons for feeding and comfort... cheap undies in granny style from kmart a size up (all in the bin now) leggings and loose tops, slippers, toiletries obviously... I didn't have a chance to read or watch TV... oh and pack snacks or money as you get hungry and a good water bottle so you know how much water your drinking...

Just be careful, I only went to liners at about 4 weeks pp. I bought too many of everything but I would rather have too many than not enough lol.

Looks like we're going home tomorrow! Austin is doing so well. I get to have him in my room overnight tonight too. 😊 I get to be his mumma!

With liners/maternity pads, I was using to libra ones but after using them non stop for three weeks they were irritating my poor beat up V. I switched to the cottons ones and they're much less irritating. Don't forget nursing pads too- in addition to the joys of leaking from your V you may also leak from your boobs. Just put pads on every part that can leak! 😂

As for the breast/bottle/formula feeding thing. There is no judgement here, as long as they're fed. I'm pumping and bottle feeding and it takes forever, especially when you add in the sterlising bottles etc. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up for if we don't learn how to breast feed. Austin is still too little so he gets tired too quickly especially because I have to use a nipple shield. We'll try when we get home and settled. If you hate it, give it up. Your mental health is more important.
