    Random question about belly piercings.

I took my belly ring out about 10 years ago and the hole closed up and scared and I have never have an issue with it.

Now at 31 weeks pregnant the 10year old scar has somehow become infected?!? Very bizarre!
It's only a teeny bit infected and if I wasn't pregnant I would just manage it at home.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue? Or if I should be worried?

    Default IVF Babies Due August/Sept/Oct'16#3

That's very unusual... You'd think there'd be nothing left to get infected iykwim. I am in a similar situation and the only thing that happened here was that the scar grew crazy big as my tummy grew. I wouldn't be concerned necessarily. I say treat it yourself and if it gets any worse then see someone.

I know. It so strange!!! It's the old hole scars that are a bit infected.

I did a quick Google search and there's a few girls who have had similar experiences.. Apparently it's due to the skin stretching.

Thinking I'll just keep bathing it in salt water and keeping an eye on it. I'm pretty confident it will clear up in a day or 2, just not sure if it is something I should run past my OB?

I agree, just keep an eye on it. Just tell your OB next routine visit even if it's gone.

Barca mine has gone a bit funny too. Both ends of the piercing scar are now visible on my belly and are peeling a little. I think the scar is irritated by the stretching.

I saw my OB this morning and for the first time I left feeling less confident. I have placenta previa still- it didn't migrate and is posterior so it seems likely that I'll have to have a c-section. This isn't the end of the world I know butbut I can't help but feel disappointed. My last scan also showed that bubs is measuring between the 10th and 50th percentile so he's between average to really small for his dates!!? What the actual F does that even mean. How is that a helpful measurement? My OB doesn't seem worried but it's bothering me. I'm feeling guilty all round today.

Peedy my bub went from 50th percentile to 3rd percentile and my OB said there was nothing I was doing it was my placenta... so don't feel guilty at all... plus the c section honestly was a piece of cake... besides a slightly crooked scar (muscles tightened more on one side) I am now back to normal she's now measuring at 3rd percentile but we are based on 40 week babies if we do adjusted age it's 15th percentile and height it's 50th I think... she's just a slim taller baby also if your small people your percentile will be lower so don't compare on that xx

Yep peedy don't stress over this at all. Someone has to be on the small side! For every average there has to be healthy outliers. Just listen to your doctor, and if it means a follow up scan then yay more e causes to stare at his pretty little face!

Our specialist today has cleared H's bottom. Follow up when he starts solids.
