@midnight01 we havent spoken personally before (i dont think? :-) ) but just wanted to say a bfp on a hpt is a massive hurdle to jump over and i understand youve been there before without getting a take home baby, so i guess you'd be a bit apprehensive to say the least, but its a bloody good start mate, so congrats on the 2 pink lines and I'll be wishing and hoping for you to jump over all the upcoming hurdles and have a win! xox

@Charlie74 - the breakdown was $207.90 special planning and management, $100.44 embryo transfer, $1534 global fee fozen embryo cycle.

I just have to hope that I have some good quality embryos in my reserve and wait for my Wazza appointment to look into why my two DETs were unsuccessful or how we might be able to extract the golden egg, if it's anywhere to be found in my reserve.....
@pingc383 dont worry mate, googling obsessively and thinking that if you google enough you'll find out why embryos didnt work and how to fix your eggs is an ivf rite of passage. We've all been there.
You can learn a lot of interesting and informative stuff during the process but, and i know this sounds morbid, usually i find that whilst you're googling, you either get a bfp or at some stage you realise even though google can tell you lots of stuff, it cant tell you why your eggs n embies have problems. I sorta realised that when id also ask my fertility specialist stuff and he would have to say 'i dont know', not because he's hopeless but because no one knows and i was searching for answers that didnt exist. In a way, if 'they' knew then they could make ivf work for everyone.
What i can say, which is a bit more positive, is that you'll either end up preggers or you'll come to this realisation on your own terms at some stage. So, you won't be obsessed with googling and trying to find answers forever. Its natural to try and find solutions to problems and it helps to feel like you are doing something about it.
I can second the other ladies who recommend a good clinic with a dr. you believe is good/trustworthy/ genuinly invested in helping you to have a baby . If you can afford it, its worth paying for because you get peace of mind. If you trust them and they say 'i dont know' then you at least know that nobody knows and its easier to accept that answer.
I dont mean this to sound like a lecture or something, at all. Just that we've all been obsessed with googling at some stage in our journey and that it will pass one day xox

The fs that did my transfer said illness may help get the bfp. As low immunity means that the body won't fight as hard to reject the embryo as it will be too busy fighting the illness

Sorry I couldnt help @Charlie74. I threw out all of my Monash paperwork lastnight. From what you've just written a Monash FET is the same as what I budget for a CT FET!!
I've just started to get excited about meeting Wazza tomorrow. Most exciting is having an answer tomorrow about what's next, instead of going over and over and over and over the options in my head!!
Incidently, after looking at potential EDs online (since Xmas time - it can become a bit addictive) I finally found one today who got me excited. I've requested her full profile. She can't donate til Feb though.
