thanks @JulieMalooley, that's good to know you could get the medicare refund too. somehow I thought it wasn't available on egg-freeze cycles so this will help her.

your bubs are very cute! I'm glad you're feeling better and the PND is under control & you were able to goto sleep school so quickly. sounds like they're good sleepers naturally - lucky you

@winsor If your friend doesn't have any fertility problems and she's classed as 'social IVF' then it'll be the full cost of IVF around $10k, no Medicare rebate. As you know already and contrary to popular belief, eggs don't freeze/thaw well so I'd advise reserving some of the eggs to use with DS and to freeze the embryos. They apparently freeze/thaw much better.

thanks @Tahli. that's a good idea. I'd heard that the 1cell eggs had a lower thaw rate, though I think someone mentioned last time this was discussed that it wasn't that much lower than embryo thaw rate (which was new to me at the time)

any recommendations for good clinics in Melb?

Sorry I'm in Brisbane. I had 8 from my 10 eggs thaw successfully so pretty good rate really. We ended up with two embies to transfer from them.
