    Default IVF over 40 #35

@Blossom74 who cares if anyones opinion is unpopular. I like hearing both sides. Go for it. Its your opinion and yes we don't know the story. Its a matter of walking in ones shoes. For me, no way. But for her, its her choice and someone supported it. You can support people and not agree with their choices. And Im sure anyone would be welcome here, no matter their circumstances.

@Blossom74 You raise some good points Luv

At the end of the day, I'm looking at it from the child's point of view....and from that side of the fence I'm sorry to say, it's all wrong with a capital W

Just because you want something doesn't mean you can always have it. Just because you can doesn't mean you always should either IMO.

Yeah...no I wouldn't support her choice I have to be honest and say I couldn't do that in good conscience

I won't be a hypocrite and support someone/something I don't believe in or to be right to me.

It's such a divisive topic I know. I just see something in this woman that I can identify with, and as such I really don't feel it's my place to judge. Is having a baby at 63 for me? Well, right now I'd say "Hell, no!" But I know how much I long for a baby right now, and if it didn't happen in the near future and I had the money, would I keep on trying? Yes. I don't know where or how I would draw the line if I still had the means.

I guess we will just respectfully have to disagree @BIB, and that's ok. We are all entitled to our opinions.

a quick update.. went for blood test and scan this morning. The nurse couldn't find my right ovary.
She did find 2 follies in my left 17mm in size. Good size I was told. My lining was good, 9mm..
the nurse was very supportive and kind.. I burst into tears
my DP was there to support me and to learn how to give me the injection. Tonight I will start with menoupor 150UI. I had elonva injection last week.
I was also told to go back for another scan and blood test this friday..
a friend of mine did IVF 2 years ago. She was 35 when she did it and she had 2 eggs out of 3 follies. She has a cute baby girl now.. so hoping and praying..

Ok fert results are in for me and it's not great. All 9 eggs were mature but we only have 4 embryos. 4 didn't survive and 1 didn't fertilise. So with the huge drop off I usually get at day 4 we will lucky to have any this cycle 😳. Maybe I should start focusing on our frostie and hoping it survives the thaw.

H @Tinachris, we've had a bit of a battle here. I got PND really suddenly about 4 weeks ago and was incapacitated by it. My family really pulled together and got me through though and the medication has now properly kicked in and I feel back to myself. The twins are going great. Jackson is a big lump and Charlotte is so dainty I'm sorry to say that i still haven't been keeping up with BH especially lately, sorry guys. I've only just moved back into home this week after staying with family for the last three weeks and going into the Ellen Barron sleep clinic next week with the twins but to be honest they are in such a good routine and sleeping so well at night that I'm not sure they can do much for me! Having said that, we were urgently admitted while I was in the depths of PND and its so hard to get in there, I'm certainly not going to pass it up. I hope everyone on here is going well, I'll scan through and try to update myself. Thanks for thinking of me..
