Hi tahli I'm sorry to hear about your son. I must have missed that post before 😕 I hope the appoitment goes well. xoxo
Yes wazza will guide you and give you an idea . His initial appoitments are insane information overload but he will five you choices and a clear idea of chances. Real stats.
Oh re the clexane well it just wouldn't stop bleeding. It filled a band aid and it filled a tissue it bled for about 3 hours. This was also about 7 hours after I had done the jab. It was quite scary so I ended up messaging BIB on facebook in a tizzy for advice, then I decided to ice it and lay down and compressed it quite hard and it eventually slowed and stopped.
Also Gagingi is right meds at Wazza's pharmacy are more than chemist warehouse ect.
Good luck @Billie2 for Monday you won't need it though the bleeding slowing down a good sign, now to just bump those progesterone levels up and it has to be 👍

My apt is next Fri with Wazza. Still conflicted about what to do. I'm sure he'll guide me. If I'm going to do an OE cycle I need to pay $90 to move my flight home to allow an extra 3 hrs for counselling, nurses apt and donor sperm apt.
More importantly my DS has his first apt with his paediatrician tomorrow. From there I'll know what's possible for the rest of the year re travel etc. His medical needs trump mine.
When is your first lining scan?

Ta @BlondeinBrisvegas! Gosh this going to be an expensive trip up. $522 for flights plus at least $1145 without meds or blood tests. Ouch!! I've just changed my return flight to allow the extra hours for nurses apt with blood tests, walk to QFG building, the DS counselling and DS apt.
I'll leave home at 5.30 am and should get home at 11pm. A long day. At least after this apt there will be no stone unturned and I'll not be left wondering in my old age.
They have 3 blue eyed blonde SDs but they're American so $1250 for 1 ampules of sperm. If you cancel your cycle you have to apply for reimbursement to get the $1250 back. The DS aspect is flipping expensive.
If I decide to draw the line on my OEs and focus on CT then I can cancel all the extra apts for the day at no extra cost. It's $575 for the DS 1hr counselling apt and 30min apt with the DS staff member, to access their online SDs..so it would want to be refundable if after chatting with Wazza the decision was DEs!
On the upside I just extended my airport car parking by 3hrs and got refunded $1! I'll take a win where I can get it!!

Ta for the meds tip @Gagingi. I really appreciate it, esp when entering a whole new different system. I have an inkling l'll be dashing from one apt to the next without time to catch my breath. I might take my wad of scripts and have them filled in Melb, that way I have time to think clearly and don't lose sight of my Zen-ness! Ta again. xx

@Tahli wow the SD price has gone up again. In Dec14 it was $950 for the American one and then the following year went up to $1150. That's a big jump again!! So pricey. If you do choose one of them you can view on Xytex and get a lot more info, more photos and audio interviews etc. best of luck with your wazza app and your DSs appointment.
@Billie2 fingers crossed its all good Monday but the signs are promising.
@BlondeinBrisvegas can you put me down for a DE cycle in October please? Thanks so much

    Default IVF over 40 #35

@Tahli wazza is worth the hassle. He's entertaining too lol. Everyone in his office , receptionists and nurses are beautiful people too. At least you've heard "it" from him. Agree with Gagangi on the meds down stairs -total rip off! However the coffee at the cafe is pretty good lol! Not that I drank it cycling but have enjoyed it after bfn!! Fish and chips were pretty alright too lol!!

Hi can I join your group I'm currently over 40 and in my 2ww with 2 embies with Primary IVF - I'm on the Primary IVF thread too. I've just gone cross eyed trying to read a months worth of pages for this thread and still have not much idea of what's going on with who as it moves so fast.

just a question .... Has there been many successes that anyone recalls recently for pregnancies with own eggs as it seems most have turned to donor eggs once your on the other end of 40.
