    Default Is it possible to just grow a bump not a huge bum?

    Just wondering if my bum is going to keep growing with my baby bump. I'm 10 weeks and packing on the weight.

    I think my body just puffs out as soon as I'm pregnant but tell me it's possible to stop it!

    I don't get how some people wear their normal clothes the whole pregnancy. I'm already up a size so sad

    My bum doesn't change when I'm pregnant. I'm told I don't look pregnant from behind. But I don't get a lot of food cravings which I'm extremely grateful for. My weight never went up by more than 10kg for any of my 4 pregnancies.

    Are you eating healthy but just more? Sometimes it's fluid retention and there isn't a lot you can do sadly.

    It's different for everyone. Just try to eat as healthily as you can (which I know can be hard if you are nauseous all the time like I was in the first trimester!) and get some gentle exercise. There's only so much you can do, you can't control how your body responds to pregnancy. You may find everything goes back to normal shortly after bub arrives.

    Thanks ladies yeh I think it's fluid retention as well. My face is also puffy/fat and usually it's slim. I am eating healthy just more of it. I did have 2 weeks of unhealthy when I was sick but surely that 2 weeks didn't mean 4kg I just want to halt it for now and only gain up to 10kg the whole pregnancy.

    Be careful trying to limit your weight during pregnancy. If you eat well and exercise regularly (if you don't nornally exercise then stick with walking) then the weight you gain will be the weight you need.
    I ate extremely well and exercised throughout all of my pregnancies. I still gained 13-14kg each pregnancy. It was nothing I was doing. Within a week after each baby I would have lost it all except for 2kgs. It would have been dangerous for me to try and limit my weight gain to 10kg.

    Luke someone said it's different for everyone. When I'm pregnant, my bum is pregnant too, every part of my body is. But I've got a big bum in general.

    3 pregnancies and all belly with each. I put 8kgs on each time and put no weight on my bum or anywhere except belly. Couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind either. I ate pretty much as normal whilst pregnant. I was in pretty good shape pre babies as I have always exercised maintaining some fitness and eat well.
    I think everyone is different and genes plays a part too.
