Default 15 days since ovulation and no period

We've been trying to conceive for months. I ovulated 15 days ago, I didn't do a test but noticed a large amount of egg white stretchy discharge. I still haven't got my period but I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I don't feel any different but am wondering why my period hasn't arrived? I do have an irregular cycle but don't you always get your period 14 days after ovulation?

My guess is that you ovulated a day or 2 later than you thought. I think you can ovulate up to 48hrs after a LH surge when you have EWCM. If you were using a FRER test it is likely to have shown up a result by now if it was positive. It's pretty unusual for the second half of your cycle to be longer than 14 days. I hope it all works our for you :-)

No you don't always get a period 14 days after ovulation. If your cycles are irregular then I'd go and see someone about it, esp if you've been trying for a while

    Default Faint + line

I just did a test and got the faintest positive line. Is that a good thing or am I getting my hopes up?

As long as the line has colour and it came up in the time period then there is a very good chance you are pregnant!!

It appeared within 3 minutes of taking the test and its faint and blue. I'm trying not to get too excited just in case. I'm off to the doctors this afternoon so I'll ask when I'm there
