    Default 8 month old change

    Hi mums.
Our son was born a month early, he is 8 months from his birth date and 7 months from due date.
This week, he went from being happy, smiling, interactive to literally overnight being unhappy, barely smiling and not really being very interactive.
This started on Thursday and maternal child health nurse didn't seem concerned, and I
took him to the GP last night and he said he is fine.
Has any one else's 8 month old had an off week? Thought it could be a developmental leap or teething? Have any of you experienced this?

Hi there my DD is almost 13 months now and was born a month early. Do you have a Paediatrician? We do and he sees her every 3 months or earlier if there is something going on and tbh I haven't had great experiences when I've had to take her to the gp so I prefer to take her to the paed even though it's $100 out of pocket each time
We haven't gone through what you've mentioned specifically but I do think it's generally worrying if a baby's temperament rapidly changes or behaviour regresses (eg can smile/crawl/clap etc then doesn't anymore). I'd be seeing a paed to put your mind at ease even though he'll probably (hopefully) perk up soon. All the best xx

    Thanks lovely.
We do have a pediatrician, I will give him a call Monday.
I noticed he went through a similar thing at 4 months which makes me think it might be developmental.
It's hard because MCHN and doctor and Hubby and mum etc.... Are all not concerned and I don't know if my brain is just wired for worry.
    Thanks x
