    Did you end up emailing again before you went in?

    If not i guess you can email now saying you worked the following hours and would he prefer to pay via usual payroll or for you to supply an invoice?
    Dont ask any other questions in the same email so theres nothing else to reply to other than the payment issue

    Honestly I did work on maternity leave that was sometimes paid and sometimes not.

    All you can do is email and how who you should send your invoice to. He may assume you'll just send one.
