Default Which formula for baby risk of allergies

Hi there, I'm just after some advice on which formula to choose for a newborn with risks of dairy allergy? I'm 32 weeks pregnant and trying to research now before bubs is born. A bit of history, my first born had undiagnosed dairy intolerance and my second daughter a dairy allergy diagnosed at 16 weeks and went on Neocate. I am unable to breastfeed so am wanting some advice from other mums that may have been in the same situation? Thanks Mel

Hi Mel, Aptamil Allerpro is good and is designed for babies at risk of, or with dairy intolerance. The proteins are broken down but it is still based on cows milk so is not suitable if baby does have an actual allergy. Both my kids have CMPI and I used it for my DS but his poos were gross so switched to Goat formula. Had no issues at all, he took to the taste straight away and all his symptoms went away, including eczema. It was a little hard to get at times, usually I got it from Woollies and it was the most expense one - $30/32 at the time (3 years ago).
Best of luck, I hope he/she doesn't have it!
