My point is that you cannot assume that muslim = terrorist when only a very small percentage subscribe to violence. The overwhelming majority of muslims are good, decent, honest, hardworking people.

It's a fact because my life and those of my family members and friends are testament to that. I don't care if I change your mind or not, but you can't change the reality that there are many of us Muslim immigrants who contribute positively to this country every day regardless of whether you've seen it for yourself of not.
And there are more who have not. There are more who have taken advantage of this country and continue to do so.

@VicPark when you are inducted to the BH Hall of Fame, I hope that your comment above ^^^^ goes down in history as your most liked ever.

You know, I think the concept of integration is interesting. Because it's always in hindsight that we view the different waves of immigrants over the history of this country as having assimilated meekly like we expect from the Muslims.

First Settlers - brought their language, their government system, their weapons, their diseases...

Italians/Greeks - food, cultural celebrations, music, Catholicism...

Jews - places of worship, schools...

Asian nations - food (again), cultural celebrations (again)...

I could go on of course and obviously it is a very superficial analysis. But if we had all assimilated the way we expect the Arabic and even African immigrants to, it would be a very different nation indeed.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what Christian country are you referring to?

My ancestors came from India which was a peaceful society until the British arrived. I come from South Africa which was a peaceful country until the Boers took over. We live in Australia which was a peaceful land until the British colonized. Groups of people taking over countries, war, violence etc has been happening since the dawn of time. Is the solution to hate one another and create artificial borders? Should I decide that all British and Dutch people are evil based on the chaos they caused in both of my homelands. This narrow minded thinking is part of the problem and certainly not part of the solution. The only real solution is when we all start to see each other as human beings and equal.

When it was a predominantly Christian country this type of violence was unheard of, now it happens almost everyday. I wanted to go back for a visit this year, because I miss it, but it's too dangerous.
