Our relationship with our housemates is pretty good, we're friends, so we'll probably tell them why we'd like to change our living arrangements.

If an opportunity arose for one of the others to move out and they passed on it then discovered you were pregnant they might be really peeved.
Yes, they'll probably start keeping an eye out for opportunities of moving (or for new housemates to replace us) as soon as we talk to them, so the more time they have the better I guess.

But yeah, I can absolutely imagine the clutter becoming a major issue (on top of all the rest). The house is already full of stuff, since we basically moved 2 apartments in 1 house, so transforming all the shared areas into a giant nursery wouldn't be fair.

But the number one reason I hated it? Pacing the hallways all day and night long with an unsettled baby... while my housemate and the new boyfie had noisy sex every minute of the day and night! OMG it was AWFUL.
Haha, yes, that sounds like probably the worst way of spending a night. Our housemates are quite respectful with the noise level when it comes to sex, but one of them, although he probably weighs less than 60kg, walks around like a 5 tons elephants and bangs everything he can, from doors to drawers, for some unfathomable reason.

So it seems pretty obvious what we have to do I love living the guys now, they're great people, but we'll get our own place when the time comes.
    Thank you so much everyone!

I wouldn't do it, mainly because it is SUCH a special time just for you and your little family. It's nice to close the door on visitors and have your private space Good luck x
